It's not the best but that is a stupid statement

Hynes is very average, would probably still be there at our second pick. And Moreas has dropped off a cliff this year, most punters had him sliding to the late 30s.

Dude seriously they haven't even had the chance to show u what they have .Sometimes i think they are better of not coming to our club with the way some fans treat them .
A few people get upset when it comes to phantom draft time

He talks incredibly well. What’s also impressive is how he planned out his year focusing on his Vic Country form and maintaining his conditioning for the end of the season.

Would have no issue with this kids professionalism.

Could probably back him to have immediate impact once he comes in. Even if that’s dominating VFL for a year till he bangs the door down for first team selection.

I also don’t mind Moreas, so wouldn’t be too upset with those two with our first couple.

Two genuine mids too which is exactly what we need.

Tbh, it will be a very underwhelming draft if it turned out exactly how Twomey predicts it. But it could be worse.

Okay with Hynes if he is genuinely the best MID that is available. But hoping we can land a bit more pace, two way running, and general damage with disposals. Hannaford I really want, but the reality is, he will likely be gone by the time our second pick comes around.

I’d love a bit of pace in the midfielders we pick up, but let’s not forget…

This years premiers had Dunkley, Neale and McCluggage making up 60% of their midfield group. None known for their pace. Even poorer ball use for Dunks and Neale.

No club is ever going to put together a midfield of all pace and skill. Balance between inside and out, with some polish and fwd half nous is ideal.

Both Hynes and Moreas contribute to that. Add Richard’s pace, and the balance isn’t too far off.

Saying that, I’m not even 100% sold on the draft playing out like that. Twomey has already said it’s pretty open after the top 10 or so, and even his latest phantom draft comes off as throwing darts at a board from pick 15.

Hynes looks exactly like Matt Kennedy. Not the worst player but not an exciting first round pick. I guess with the academies, FA comp and FS, pick 20 is probably only reaching a few picks for him.

We mustn’t be impressed by Hannaford’s 2k trial which admittedly was concerning.

Yikes, Hynes and Moreas. That would be an all time disaster. Two plodders.

Would be disappointed if we don’t go for 1 or 2 small forwards also considering there are a few around our picks, otherwise Vandermeer may be in for a 5 year contract extension

Hynes is the answer to the question what if Charlie Clarke was two inches taller and a bit slower?

Wouldn’t be stoked going Busslinger, Sanders, Hynes with our firsts in three consecutive drafts. Can’t be banking on finding athletic/quick players late in the draft every year.
Slower that Clarke? Hynes?
Burst/power is his one-wood.

He's put up similar numbers to a favourite of mine (Landford) but I don't his stoppage work is anywhere near Langford's quality. Has goal-sense though. I'd prefer him to Dattoli/Hotton.

He's Langford's best mate, they'd have learned a lot from each other.

Can’t imagine we go Hynes and Moraes with our first two.
No problem Hynes for our second.
I wouldn’t draft Moraes , not convinced he has a great AFL career.

They'd swap regularly in games as forward/mids - I'm probably more bullish on him then most and if we don't get him with our first pick we should really be looking at Hamish Davis with our second. Perhaps take both anyway.

I'm not as big on Moraes as others though, if you're an uncontested plyer and you stagnate in your top age year.... I'm unconvinced.

He is an accumulator with very questionable disposal.
Letting Daniel go and replacing him with Moraes early in a second round deep draft looks horrible to me.

Power yes, burst no. I agree about the stoppage work, pretty nondescript.

Seems he could be one that has made the most of being bigger than his opponents at junior level. Plays forward like a tall. I don’t get it for us.

Dattoli looks a bit low-ceiling to me as well.

Strongly agree. He's had a lot of development over the course of his career, been in the best teams and I haven't seen much if any improvement in the weaknesses he has. Screams bust.
