When we took for needs, in Paddy, it backfired horribly.
We had to take best available. We need to improve the list everywhere. You think Wilkie, Webster, Douglas are around forever. In the meantime we do have other players still developing into mids, like Windy. Not like 2 picked tonight would have automatically jumped into best 22.

Our midfield more than held its own in the final third of the season, when we came right for injuries, and that without Crouch all year.

We needed everything back then ffs. Mids, backs, forwards. We convinced ourselves forward was most important because of Tom Boyd. Tom bloody Body!

We are butchering the careers of the likes of Hastie and Schoey.

Our midfield is miles off it, our backline is still undersized, we have 1 key forward, and 1 ruck.

We have 30 half back options though.

Just diabolical list building.

Shanahan and Armstrong would be worth trading a future 1st for right now still.

Would be ok with taking Armstrong now. Top ten rated talent in a mid heavy draft.

The hate on Tobie is bizarre. Looks an absolute beauty to me… runs like a gazelle, quick, breaks the lines and amazing size. Tauru could be the best player from this draft… in any other year he’d be pick 2-3 . Think we’ve nailed this.
