I don't think we've wasted enough time on debating decisions from 5 years ago, lets go around in circles again.

Not a hell of a lot of new material until the next Twomey phantom.

I think a little bit of out of site out of mind. TT is one of the mst competitive in the draft and played at his best in the most important games. His champs were amazing. You are looking at attributes not just if he's played mifield before.

It is about picking best available, best recent example is Naz. We picked Naz because he was best available, he wasn;t a traditional mid. What is the obsession with picking a mid at the expense of potentially missing a better player.

Walked out the door with only one recruit in the 2019 AFL draft - Ryan Byrnes at pick 52.

Even for someone like Twomey, with his record of nailing the draft order, this year would be impossible to accurately predict without significant inside knowledge.

It will be interesting to see how his final top 10 stacks up this year. If he snags it again he clearly has the ears of the list guys. You couldn't predict it just on player knowledge and gut feel this year.

That’s exactly what he does. He gets the word from opposition clubs about what they think / know another club is doing, interviews, extra focus, probably even innocent draftees admitting interview counts.

Have seen his name everywhere from 5 to 20. If it really runs: Lalor, FOS, Draper, Langford, Smillie & Smith in the front 6 would Tauru + Reid be a pass mark?

Smillie 6 is the word.

I think he only slides to us if Jagga somehow gets to 6.

You can’t hindsight say take serong,
We needed a fullback at the time and got Doog, if we didn’t get Doog as part of those trades we probably definitely take mcasey at 6 just as Adelaide did

The point is that we had good picks, gave away Bruce and Acres to end up with a spread of GOPs. The disciplined thing to do was build through the draft. It set us back and we ended up having to go back and do it the hard way anyway. We took the cowardly option.

Anyway, Bassat has given us a real chance to move forward by investing in areas that were neglected and has given us an opportunity to move ahead through professional actions. I find it sad that people are still cheer leading for an administration who were absolute wage thieves. It's like old Russians reminiscing about the good old days of the bread lines.

He was the best player in the whole championships. Never played a bad game. I think he's really low risk. Whoever gets him gets a good 150 game player at a minimum. Ceiling is probably a Dangerfield like lead by example type.

Tested poorly but looks a million dollars in game. I reckon he's going to be a star.
