The time to address the midfield was in the first round. Not the 2nd and 3rd round.

They just need to take best available and see what happens. Take a few risks.


I think the whole in the midfield is so big now from consecutive drafts that the 2nd and 3rd rounds ain't going to help much.

Before the draft:

Mid depth: Windy, Jones, Nas, Hill, Steele, Owens*, Clark, Byrnes, Stocker, Dow, Wilson, Henry, Pou, Wood*, Garcia, Sinclair, Hall, Macrae, Carroll, Arie*, Hastie*

KPP Depth: King, Sharman, Caminiti, Howard, Wilkie

*More Utility that true mid/KPP options.

We can argue about quality all day long but the club clearly looks at our KPP stocks and has serious concerns.

Tauru & Barrat can play either end so we have some options.

If we get Cole as a FB then we can be more flexible with both of them.

I think its clear they view Travalgia as a mid.
If that's the case then I would say they have addressed that need somewhat.

So sick of being undersized as well. We are skinny and short across the entire field.

Wilkie is a gun but is forced to constantly play taller than he should. If we insist on recruiting another defender than at least get one that is 198cm+.
