The bloke unnecessarily gave up 2 2nd round picks for a few pick upgrade last year then had the arrogance to say we achieved what we wanted.

That said sounds like we are continuing our strategy of the 3 amigos in the midfield bombing it inside 50 for another few years

Waterman has managed to kick a decent haul this year in a very poor WCE group. I think if he remained injury free he'd be more than handy. However I don't think he'll be leaving WA unless we're offering ridiculous money. Which you never know wuth Tim Lamb.

Having said that, could I see the Dees trying to get Lynch if all else fails? Absolutely. When Pert said on the weekend that we havent been able to land a big KPF the past couple of offseason's it should have been a red alert for all of us.

Ive got no doubt we are throwing the kitchen sink at Waterman, even though hes not really the "big KPF" Goody ball needs.

If Perty brings Lynch in we should form a posse and Stringer him up.

Then we can balance our side better at team selection, and on game day.
the guy can play tall back.. tall forward in support of our 194cm JvR, and he will be able to replace Maxy, as he gets older.

Mac is the alternate to l Jackson, we been wanting.

He's ahead of the game to date, on age.


The ruckwork imo, has accelerated his development, allowing him to build more on his engine, but also allows him to get a run and jump at the ball around midfield; without 2 or 3 tall backs cutting him off or pushing him under the ball.

It also helps in his development, of when to punch to spoil, when rucking down back.

So we have a old fashioned 6'4" in JVR and a up and coming Jeffo... who is 6'5"... But we need a follower who can clunk marks around the ground, as a replacement for Maxy.

Mac would slot into our Mix right now, in many roles.

If we trade out this year’s first round I’ll be pissed as I cannot see us contending next year. I’m looking at other teams improving to that will go past us. We need a little clean out hit the draft this year and next before tassie come in. If it means sacrificing couple of our top players.
