Pardon the intrusion, I recently did a video on Youtube that was meant to be on the struggles of North and ended up being a 30 minute love fest over how bloody good Tim Lamb and Jason Taylor are. When doing the research I could not believe how good their hit rate was. Jay Kennedy-Harris and Sam Weideman the only missteps from two dozen top 40 picks in a decade! Anyways, just thought I'd share my appreciation for these two, who probably don't get enough love in the media. All the best for the rest of the season. Cheers...
Totally agree - JKH and Weid don't get enough love in the media!

Got a bit lucky with Petracca getting past the Saints, but Oliver, Jackson, Pickett and Fritsch are probably the standouts followed by Rivers, McVee and Bowey.

Jury still out on Jefferson unfortunately, but there aren’t exactly a whole heap of guns that went after that pick so you can’t blame them too much if he doesn’t work out.
I love what they did from 2017 - 2019. Lever, Spargo, Fritsch, Petty in 2017. Didn't have a pick until 36 in 2018 and still managed to snag May, Sparrow and Jordan. Getting Pick 8 from North in 2019 was awesome in itself but then they split it for 10 and 28 and bring in Kosi and Rivers along with Jackson and Langdon. 11 Premiership players in 3 off seasons. Phenomenal...

I mean we traded for May and Lever that's why we didn't have the first rounders. Trading for Hibberd and Melk were another 2 big wins.
Sparrow Spargo and Jordan are meh as **** there's 400 other AFL players like them floating around.

Taylor was also helped by the club’s strategy of trading out everything to get as high up the board as possible with the first pick, which other clubs have now caught onto.

I'm pretty sure this was initially a strategy by Josh Mahoney. We first did this in the Clayton Oliver draft.

It was right as the points system came in for drafting academy players and father/son recruits.

Article in The Age today mentions, as well as Voss, we've had a look at Noah Howes - A South Australian key forward.

Anyone know much about him?

Sucks we can't have both.

Howes seems likely to be taken in the upcoming mid season draft by a team looking to bolster their key position stocks. He played in the opening champs game on the weekend and showed some of his talent, although his marking was a little off on the day.
