In what world do you think our pick ~30 would end up with Barass lol eagles wouldn't even answer the phone

I don’t, that’s why I didn’t say we should trade pick 30 for Barass.

We do have a first rounder this year and next however as well as a plethora of players we wouldn’t mind seeing the exit for. Thats much more capital than Collingwood have who are making a play.

So why bitch about the second round pick? Or just cause

Highlighting Lambs incompetence at every level. I know you love the guy but damn, don’t know how you are defending him at the moment.

Look at the heap our list is in and we continue to hear our competitors look at ways to improve there list week in week out.

What have I made up? You constantly defend the bloke despite our list being trash.

You just made up I claimed to want to trade Barass for pick 30 just a few posts back.

I thought I was on your ignore anyway, (or was that also made up) please re-add me.

I've said he's overrated as a recruiter plenty of times mate but I get your whole persona relies on the world being against you lol so go with whatever makes you comfortable big fella

Out of everyone to get pissed off about at the club choosing Lamb is wild. Haven't we been linked to Battle, who is a KPD? Do we really think the only stuff this guy does will be reported in the media? End of the day why would anyone good come to our shitty club? They had to pay Lever and May way overs at the time for KPDs. Come here, train at Casey, also the playing group is a pack of campaigners who can't go out to dinner together in public without brawling and you won't get any good coaching. The fans won't even make some noise for our 6.15 in sunny conditions.

End rant.

Josh Battle isn't even very good.

Another sad state of affairs that he will fetch 800k+ on the open market.

Will be watching Ollie Lord closely for Port.

Hasn't played much this year but played a great game in the losing final for them last year. 200cm athletic FF.

Been stuck behind Dixon/Marshall/Finlayson/Georgiades.

Can he provide ruck relief?

There is a set of twins in this years draft. Whitlocks IIRC. Noah Mraz and Harry O'Farrell both look quite nice.

I have no idea who we should trade in, I think it's probably better to go to the draft unless there's a genuine A grader on the table.

What I'll say is who I think we should not trade out:

Fritsch - is in bad form but with good delivery makes things happen.
Jefferson - need to see what he's capable of at AFL level before putting him on the trash heap.
Koz - electric. No way
JVR - solid, improving, the future.
McAdam - needs more chances before put on scrap heap

Trac - nothing need be said
Viney - not worth anything, getting old, heart and soul player
ANB - solid as a rock
Gawn - no comment
Langdon - experience and good
Windsor - the future
*Oliver - only because his contract is huge that no one will take it on without giving us a bag of chips. Would trade him if we got a good draft pick offer.

May - required until retires
Lever - backline general, probably next captain
Petty - natural back. Is the obvious successor for May
Tomo - third tall when May goes and is good depth just in case
Bowey - good kick, hard
McVee - future
Rivers - talented, should be playing more mid

I'm sure there are others I've forgotten but that's 20 names that seems to suggest I rate our list fairly well. Honestly it's the coach, not the cattle.

If you refuse to trade anyone from that list out, you can't complain when our rebuild stagnates because we weren't aggressive enough at the trade table.

Club has some really hard calls to make end of year - as I've said before the only guys I wouldn't trade are May/McVee/JVR/Pickett/Gawn/Windsor.

edited to remove May as a guy I wouldn't trade - he isn't going to be around for the next flag tilt.

JVR hasn't shown enough to be 'untradeable' IMO
He's literally the only key forward on our list who definitely has a future.

Tim Lamb is list manager yeah? Why shouldn't he be in our sights in regards to incompetence? Our list looks terrible all of a sudden. No mid depth, unable to attract any decent forward, has let go a number of depth players and has actually made our list worse during a premiership window. I'm all for bashing the coaches, but geez our list looks dire all of a sudden.

We should be saying **** defense at this point, throw it all out, all we are going to do for the rest of the year is attack. If we give up 100 points every week so be it. Chuck May to full forward if you're that desperate for a KPF. Why the **** not. We have plenty of guys who can fill in for May in D50. I'd guarantee he'd offer more than Petty, Brown and Turner.

we've got **** all right since the flag, we should be conducting an external review and I'd say everyone at the club would/should be nervous about the findings.

I love bashing Tim Lamb, it is one of my favourite hobbies on this board. But it is unfair to shift all the blame onto him without putting the blowtorch on the coaching group too.

Seems to be a recurring theme that players improve when leaving MFC, while the incoming players somehow get worse!

I'm definitely not saying its all Lambs fault. I feel we've had a list capable of competing for a flag. But we should have had better pieces that would have made another flag more possible. What Lamb has brought in hasn't been near good enough quite frankly. Can blame coaches all we want, and they do deserve a bash, but Hunter, Schache, McAdam, Billings, Fullerton and the Grundy debacle hasn't given the coaches much chance to improve the team.

Would hope we're in on this somewhere too. McDonald and JVR would be a great combo for our future.
