I'm definitely not saying its all Lambs fault. I feel we've had a list capable of competing for a flag. But we should have had better pieces that would have made another flag more possible. What Lamb has brought in hasn't been near good enough quite frankly. Can blame coaches all we want, and they do deserve a bash, but Hunter, Schache, McAdam, Billings, Fullerton and the Grundy debacle hasn't given the coaches much chance to improve the team.

Goody was the one who wanted Grundy thats for sure. So if that debacle is anyone's fault its his not Lamb's.

We'd lost our first rounders for 2 years atleast, clubs absolutely not in a position to do that.

Throwing one bloke into the forward line won't make **** all difference when the midfield and backline are falling apart. Logan McDonald probably comes in an kicks 40-50 goals. Won't make **** all difference to the mess out teams in meanwhile we won't be able to add to the midfield of defence meaningfully for 2 more years and then Tassie comes in

Because you don't just add 50 goals to our season tally. Someone else just kicks less.

Logan McDonald averages 1.4 goals a game for his career and in the attacking behemoth that is Sydney he averages 1.6 goals a game this year.

He might kick 40 goals and we'll still finish 6th-10th next year because we're not some perfect team just missing the last piece. Our midfield is a shambles and our best 2 players not named Trac are 33 years old. We need more draft picks not spending them all on one player.

Midfielders are easy to recruit, key forwards are not. Get McDonald and Battle in and both ends are way more sorted and then we can add to that midfield depth.

Bailey Fritsch has been a top 5-10 forward in the league every season for about 5 years.
Max King is at the saints, Ben King at GC, Nick Larkey at North etc. Adding just one key forward doesn't make **** all difference. JVR has the same goals to game ratio as McDonald this year and it ain't doing **** all for us.

They do have someone to kick to. We have JVR, Fritsch, Kozzy, McAdam already. Logan McDonald averages 1 contested mark a game. What a game changer that'll be! All our problems will be suddenly solved!

You might complain they don't have anyone to kick to. That's rubbish, who's Collingwood's million dollar key forwards that won them the flag? Elliot, Cox and Mihocek.
Wow! There's no way we could possibly match the output of those superstar key talls.

Definitely need to add to the midfield, just saying IMO that's easier (and cheaper from a trade perspective) to do than adding key position players, especially forwards.

I reckon we can absolutely (finally) add a high quality key forward to partner with JVR AND add to the midfield. It's not either/or.

Two firsts when we were top 4 sure. If we're a bottom 10 team for 2 years then no that's a terrible list decision. This narrative that mids are easy to recruit is wrong, inside mids are easy. Good ones aren't. We've literally only gotten good mids from 10 picks for about 8 years and Viney as a F/S who would have gone top 10.

Himmelberg I think is bound for GWS to join his brother isn't he? That's the rumour right?

Stengle I think is a bit of a risk for us, not sure we'd get the best out of him. Berry I wouldn't mind. We've been linked to Will Phillips too, but I don't know a lot about him tbh. Moyle would be a good get, but I'm not overly worried about the ruck position if we have Verrall, Fullarton, JVR and McDonald (hypothetically) - keen on him of course, but wouldn't be giving up too much.

Few other interesting OOC players are Conor Nash, Riley Garcia, then you can look at 'pre-agent' and LDU is one of those, so you wonder about tempting him out?

I haven’t heard that rumour! Interesting though.

Pretty sure Phillips was pick 3 and now can’t get a game with north (if I’m correct)
Maybe a change is what he needs.

I watched Moyle in his last game and I think he did pretty well.

Lamb is head of list management. Goody can want someone all he likes. But Lamb has final say and does the wheeling and dealing. If coaches were in charge of list management, most clubs would be f*d. Lamb has done an appalling job in the last few years. I'd put him in the gun just as much as Goodwin.
