We really North Melbourne'd it with the midseason draft. No one is going to remember that saints win in the long run, but we're going to miss out on a generation player from the midseason draft

Howes seems likely to be taken in the upcoming mid season draft by a team looking to bolster their key position stocks. He played in the opening champs game on the weekend and showed some of his talent, although his marking was a little off on the day.

I wasn't expecting much but geez that is a rough watch. Unco as, terrible mark for his size, fumbles. Looks far more likely to be a Farris-White replacement than a chance to become an AFL player.

Looks an above average field kick for his size when he gets time and balanced though. Will struggle to get that time and space when the completion goes up is the worry.

Yeah the way I see it it's a free hit and I'd rather have someone like him sharing the Casey forwardline with Jeffo than Brown who has no future.

Its the other way around actually. That champs game was from sunday. He's playing champs as an over-ager given he missed out last season due to injury.
