Pretty amazing we've managed to get to this point, where arguably our best player of the last several decades ostensibly wants to leave despite being contracted long-term.

When you keep your head in the sand pretending everything is fine when it clearly wasn't it was just a matter of time. A lot of the board here saw this sort of thing coming.

If you play attractive football crowds will come regardless of ladder position. People can't be ****ed going coz they are bored out of their mind for the most part. When Trac says stuff about crowds I'm sure hes saying our brand is ****ing boring on the sly.

I was at a function with a close friend on the weekend who is in the coterie at Collingwood and is very close to some of the senior Collingwood players. He told me Petracca definitely wanted to leave and wanted to go to Collingwood and that he was meeting with them this week.

Told me they were going to offer Bobby Hill as part of the trade. Maybe that would be to Freo to get back pick 10 from the Schulz trade and that would be traded to us (+ other players/picks obviously). I didn’t believe it at the time, now I do.

We might refuse to trade him, but it sounds like the rumours are absolutely true unfortunately.

Same goes for TV ratings, if you aren't a supporter of either Melbourne or the opposition who the **** is tuning in to watch us play Goody ball? You'd have to be out of your ****ing mind.

You are over selling him a bit, yeah he is a jet but the bloke couldn’t hit the side of a barn when taking a set shot for most of his career, potentially costing us finals. Blaming poor run of form is a cop out, he was in the team when Harley Reid from WC handed it to us or during the Freo loss.

I’m happy to see the back of as many of the 3 amigos as possible. Would have preferred to lose Oliver/Viney first but hey, cest la vie.

Anything closer to a rebuild and I am happy and this does it.

This is all very strange. Trac really seems to be pushing this as far as possible without outright saying it publicly. Not sure how he sees this playing out. The notion that he doesn't want to ask for a trade unless he's sure it will get done is a bit of a cop out at this point.

It's gone beyond pushing for change internally for mine, the points about his injury, professional standards, training ground, big crowds etc. Bit all over the shop, nothing really concrete.

Saw Leigh Matthews say something to the effect of Trac's headspace probably isn't right and he really shouldn't be making major decisions about his career right now. Think I agree with that. He might end up making a decision he regrets.
