Apologies if this has been asked ...but what's the incremental charge on whether franchise tag is 1st, 2nd or 3rd? ...just says you will be charged the salary as cap hit.

That's what it means, the tag cost is the salary of the player, regardless of which round you tag them its the same.

We did this last year. Changed from the old system that you're thinking of.

Yeah get that but before a 1st would cost you more cap hit wise than a 2nd but seems no difference now. So cost is no longer a variable as to whether which pick you nominate as it’s all the same. Only need to think which pick is reasonable enough to warrant someone bidding
