Incorrect, that hasn't been announced yet. From the article on the club's website:
This just about guarantees we play them twice, once in Adelaide and once in Geelong. AFL have to send us down there as they won’t send the “big” clubsHopefully Geelong is the home team.
We know we will play them twice like we do every year.

The 'home' teams for the round will be confirmed when the full fixture is released in the coming week

That would be nice. My water bill becomes ridiculously expensive when we play them more than once. I have to shower half a dozen times after we play them, every time. And I use special shampoo which I have to get imported to make sure the excess filth washes away. That should be our only match against them next season
Geelong will be average next year happy to play them twice. We play Adelaide oval well

It’s the principle of it, having to play them down there every year so the big clubs don’t have to.
Geelong is listed as the home team according to the AFL site. Either way its all irrelevant, who the home and away team is this round, as there is no "true" home team in neutral games. All revenue is shared etc. Geelong are middle rung now, if we are good enough, we should beat them no matter where we play.

No, because Tigers were the "home" team vs the Swans in Adelaide, and played them at home later in the year at the G. Giants played Hawks as the "home team" in Adelaide, and hosted them at home later in the season. If Geelong are home team then we no play Cat park tomorrow year OK?
So we’re only waiting to see what colour shorts we’ll be wearing? No, because Tigers were the "home" team vs the Swans in Adelaide, and played them at home later in the year at the G. Giants played Hawks as the "home team" in Adelaide, and hosted them at home later in the season.
Aside from us playing Port later on as the home team. The other 6 fixtures, the teams matching up never played each other again.
Which is why I said its near irrelevant. Only one match out of the nine ended up being played again, where home team roles were reversed.
Would be good if it was but yeah we have never done well against them even in our strong seasons. We lost to them by 57 points in the 2016 premiership season. Was great to beat them down in Geelong for the first time in 20 years but they had nothing to play for and not their strongest team. That should be our only match against them next season
Or in Melb? I want them twice next season, there and at Marvel. When’s the last time we played Adelaide at Adelaide oval? Wouldn’t be surprised if we get them on a Thursday night away.
Would be great to get them at Adelaide Oval the week after gather round. Similar to the earlier discussion on playing Brisbane and Gold Coast away back-to-back it could be fun for the group and fans (who can) to get away for a week. Playing the same ground 2 weeks in a row could be helpful as well.Or in Melb? I want them twice next season, there and at Marvel.
True. Even when we were dominating the comp many years ago, we'd still lose the Cats match!Does not matter how average cats are and who they have playing, we seem to find ways to stuff it up again and again.
Season 23 was another reminder of that against that mob.
