Nar they picked up a Cotton On sponsorship, going to get to use the Cats new training facility when its built and they have even moved the Victorian coastline closer to their base

Problem is we ain’t paying a million a season- no matter how much the media nuffies talk it up.
Will be thereabouts 800k for 6 years which won’t trigger band one- bit cruel to get Ain’ts supporters hopes up again- haven’t they already had enough pain…

Worst case scenario for us is that our offer is short and he chooses Pies or Cats at a R950k Band 1 trigger. We then miss on Battle but still have our draft pick pushed back one place with the compensation the Saints receive.

After missing out on our targets last year, I doubt we’re letting much inside info out at all.
Hawks will MOST CERTAINLY NOT be offering Battle a red cent until they have secured Connor Nash's signature.
The talk here that he has already signed a new contract is purely guess-work.
Can't imaging Nash would look too favourably on a battler from another club being offered a far larger contract than he's been offered.
John Ralph has had one VB too many, IMO.
The idea that Hawks secure Battle on a huge contract whilst Nash walks out the door for nothing is ridiculous.

Last year I remember checking who Dylan Moore and Sicily had recently started following during trade period and it was McKay etc. but I do also remember seeing Houston in there and being surprised. Could be a 12 month+ target and would follow the path of Amon, Wingard, impey.
I know he is not a free hit but give Houston the $$$ offered to Perryman and get a trade done. He is a far superior player . Houston , Battle, Sicily, Amon, Weddle that kicking power would be sensational.

I was very big on us doing that trade last year. I reckon he was gettable. Haven't followed him this season so not readily sure how his form is holding up.
