PORT ADELAIDE vice-captain Zak Butters has been cleared of serious injury to his ankle following Friday's AAMI Community Series match.

An MRI confirmed no major structural injury, with the midfielder expected to be available for Round 1.

Bad luck for him, was going to be crucial this year
 


Fingers crossed for him. Probably opens the door for two rucks. Still would rather Finlayson imo while Georgiades finds his feet.

Lord landed heavily in a marking contest, with scans showing high-grade bone bruising on the knee and an impaction fracture in the tibia. The 22-year-old will consult a specialist in the coming days to determine whether surgery is required.
Lord will miss the start of the season, with a timeframe for return to become clear soon.

Minor miracle not to guillotine an ACL in that situation
 
Crap news it'll be slog to get back on track this year for him now.

Yea hopefully Finlayson can get his head right in the meantime.
