Not saying I don’t think Carlton can get there, but based on what we’ve seen so far I would have GWS as the currently better team.

And one of the big queries I have on Carlton is whether they’re going to be too reliant on Curnow and H up forward, as there’s literally no-one else up there that’s looking like putting too much fear into opponents.

Will anyone else even kick 30 goals? They have an awful lot of eggs in those two baskets.

I think Carltons forward line is still strong if either Curnow or McKay is injured. As long as one of them is still fit, its still a strong forward line.

Evidenced by the fact that last year we went on a winning streak mostly with only Curnow playing and then had to endure weekly media about trading McKay.

Early days but Port just keep backing up and look decent.

You never know with them around September but one year it might just click, maybe this year.

Not many awesome sides around so they could get a smoother run in finals too.

If we win the flag with the side we have now, and the list strength of sides like GWS, Carlton, Sydney, Brisbane etc. - this site will break.

Not even the most wildly optimistic Cats fan would predict this outcome at this stage.

GWS is the best side in this by a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG way.
Long as they stay reasonably fit...the rest are playing for second.

They finally got a coach capable of driving standards rather than potential.

Don't write Sydney off, but yeah they're the best two teams by a big margin.

Would be great to see Grundy snag a flag.

They've beaten West Coast and Richmond thus far, well in line with results that have gone their way in recent years. When the whips are cracking and it's time to face top 4 sides, I wouldn't expect much

Haven't made a grand final yet but I agree, they just look like the team everyone predicted they would be almost a decade ago.

Kosi is a depth player. We’ve got lynch and Balta atm. Sorry for being optimistic, I’ll consult you next time.

Yep. You've finally seen reality. He's so bad you've shifted your only competent key defender forward and even Lefau who's a mile off it is getting a game ahead of him.

The fact you ever thought this is hilarious though:
Kozzie is an upgrade on 2023 Jack.
