If starce wants to go home we can’t compete with that. He’s a gun but lockdown half backs don’t get big dollars so the eagles wouldn’t poach him just with dollars.

Joe leaving creates an on field problem but we would be front loading his money next year which will help a bit with the cap.

while lohman could go he had a good offer and could have last year but stayed. Would be weird to cement yourself play in a flag then leave. As long as we are looking decent again next year surely he signs on again - might be more of a flight risk in 3 years or so.

He's not an A-grade player so there is inconsistency in his output but by league standards - composure, kicking, reading of the play, competitiveness and leadership/culture. He would get games in a lesser side where he isn't behind the talent we have IMO. Has an obvious ceiling, but is at the level.

Witho is a less rounded player than Prior and IMO people’s view of witho is based on that one season when he looked like he had the highest ceiling in the world and that he’d become a rich out of defence type. Then it went downhill and we cap dumped him. Severe limitations and his kicking went right off of the boil.

He’s listed as 181cm on the club website… a mere 20cm shorter than Joe. He’d want to play very tall!

For Cam, get it signed away and have no contract distraction next season, 100% focus on footy.

I am against long term contracts but that is where all Clubs find themselves these days.
Resigning Cam is the important thing at this stage.
Deal with the contract length later if he wants out or we want him out.

I'm hoping that if he isn't signed its because he wants to wait to improve his negotiating position, not because he is looking to leverage by going to a different club
