Biggest 1-way running mid in the comp.
Imagine LDU starting in the middle with his back to the goals.

Biggest 1-way running mid in the comp.
Robertson and Tunstill have about the same trade value, three parts of sfa. With the emergence of Berry now, I'm the complete opposite, personally.
Don't think Robertson will get that many opportunities as a defensive midfielder with us, and truth be told, not sure he has much more of a ceiling (other than playing week in, week out in the middle).
For Tunstill, I think he potentially has a higher ceiling as a more offensive midfielder.
Right now, Robertson would (IMO) have a higher trade value (based on senior games thus far). Therefore I'd rather extract a bit more (in a trade scenario), and keep the player who may have a higher ceiling.
Considering the influx of midfield depth we're expecting over the next year or so though, this is probably rats and mice in the scheme of things.
Hi All, First post. Looking back it would've been great if we had selected LDU instead of Rayner in the 2017 draft. How do we get LDU? Loved him in his draft year and would love him at the Lions. Get it done.

I am with Nunez in that I disagree.
Rayner has been a great culture builder especially early in his time here and secondly LDU was a massive flight risk.
Fair enough, but I prefer LDU because he isn't lazy, he can read the play, he can run and he always gives 100%Disagree.

I think LDU career would thrive in the right surrounds at a strong club and his football capabilities would become elite.I like LDU, but don't think he's the type of midfielder we really need at the moment. Wasn't really a great top 5 in hindsight.

Rayner or Brayshaw.ldu was never available to us. was not willing to move interstate
i believe the choice was considered to have been between rayner and dow at the time.
Except that at the time we were not a strong club and our best known super power was the ability to develop players for them to return to centre of the hive...I think LDU career would thrive in the right surrounds at a strong club and his football capabilities would become elite.

We did very well considering the overall standard of that draft.
Of that top ten, I'd only replace Rayner with Naughton. Brayshaw would be nice, but feel we've got enough of his type.
He, Bailey and Starce is quite the haul in comparison to most of the draft.

I don’t remember any talk of LDU being a potential flight risk.Have no idea if this was actually true, but it was certaily the noise at the time.
Back at the end of 2017 we had sfa of any type. Well we had Beams, Rocky and Zorko, with first year McCluggage and Berry, but we just needed talent back then.Of that top ten, I'd only replace Rayner with Naughton. Brayshaw would be nice, but feel we've got enough of his type.

There was certainly such talk about Dow and Cerra.
