I think it is more to do with the club which is valid. Some of the fans want to blow it up so there are long term changes, trading guns facilitate that. They are probably more concerned about their pin up boy Petracca atm.

Would love for them to win a flag but if they play on and the coaches and MC are serious and show some integrity with selections they may well not go out on their own terms and finish out their careers at Peel. Father time doesn't lose. There is no way if I am Fyfe or Walters, would I be looking to retire early. Especially Fyfe, who has a decent chance of being best 22 for 10 or so games next year.
They both would love a flag to finish their career.
The Melbourne supporters you'll be worries about haven't come to terms with the possibility of him leaving yetIt amazing how different Richmond supporters are to Melbourne supporters.
Melbourne supporters are so reasonable, and then there are Richmond supporters.
I think that will be the go. Having them as backup will still be handy as I’d rather have Walters come in for a final than Emmett or Delean. They just have to accept that they will need to earn & maintain their spot. Peel games will happen and you might miss out if we are flying.Would love for them to win a flag but if they play on and the coaches and MC are serious and show some integrity with selections they may well not go out on their own terms and finish out their careers at Peel. I'm fine with them playing on but if we continue to play them if they are no longer B22 just because of who they are that would be terrible.I think that will be the go. I recon Fyfe could be a great permanent sub though.
I agree, I think we saw a very late shift in some of the selections in 2024. Too little too late but hopefully it changed the mindset and they carry it into 2025.I'm fine with them playing on but if we continue to play them if they are no longer B22 just because of who they are that would be terrible.

Nothing wrong with going back to Peel if you are down on form and coming back in good Nick when someone else drops off. Noddy was great, Emmett had an impact on return, Wags the same.
He is cooked but none of these are the reason. He was never a good kick and his leap is still pretty good. He's cooked because his back is. Can't turn around, move sideways or run out more than 70% of a game.Fyfe is cooked. Awesome player, at his best was the best in the comp.
But his kicking?? And he just doesn't have the leap. He's depth.
Sonny is just too slow, as is Fyfe.
It's sad
No, it's just there are 2 or 3 times as many Richmond supporters as Melbourne so there are proportionly more Dansters. Also like us the Dees have a prominent non bigfooty board further reducing their total representation on here.It amazing how different Richmond supporters are to Melbourne supporters.

Is reddit our prominent other board? Dockerland isn't really a thing anymore is it?No, it's just there are 2 or 3 times as many Richmond supporters as Melbourne so there are proportionly more Dansters. I'd say Reddit is the next biggest one, they skew far too positively though in my opinion, seem to just blatantly ignore anything bad and try to focus on the positives. Is reddit our prominent other board? Dockerland isn't really a thing anymore is it?
We're Freo.My expectations are now so high, that I'll be devastated if all we get this trade period is Bolton. Equally, I'll be flat if we get Bolton and Pickett this year and miss Chad next year.
Might be setting myself up for disappointment I think.
Ras and Brodie were racking up 35 touches every week at Peel.In fairness, there was really no one banging down the door.
Once NOD found form, he was pretty quick to come into the side.
Yeah, that's basically reddit full stop. It is extremely young and progressive. R/AITA is actually a surreal experience. I generally don't post much there because the set up isn't the best for discussion IMO due to how it's all formatted.I'd say Reddit is the next biggest one, they skew far too positively though in my opinion, seem to just blatantly ignore anything bad and try to focus on the positives.
Most criticism is downvoted over there.

If this happens would this put more pressure on JL? as surely this would easily be the best Freo list ever assembled... Multiple premierships would be possible
The Freo subreddit all hate that flagmantle campaigner so they're alright in my book.Yeah, that's basically reddit full stop. It is extremely young and progressive. Ras having an extra 20 full games under his belt would have been a huge benefit. He's already dominating the WAFL and can only improve so much playing at the lower level. Some short term pain but it needs to happen. Ideally over the past 2 years when we didn't play finals anyway.I am off the opinion, that they both can only play one position and Fyfe is filling that role.
You could argue that one of them could have replaced Fyfe, but in my opinion I don't think we get a lot of benefit from that.
Next year Fyfe should only play half the year.
