Mine went up 20-25% so I called and asked them to confirm that it was accurate. Apparently, I'd been on some covid discount plan for the last 3 years. I don't want to treat them like an insurance company, but I dunno if I am happy to outlay so much extra after the year we just had. And likely won't be much better next year.

From and insurance company point of view they actually have pricing mechanisms called capping and cupping.

Where with premiums that you pay any increase is actually limited and spread over a period of time to prevent bill shock. This is capping.

The inverse is cupping where if a price goes down that spread the decrease the same way to prevent you from questioning previous charges.

this makes 2 things kinda evident:
1) annually review any insurance policy you have comparing it to competitors and find yourself better deals.
2) NMFC pricing may not be aware of capping.

I wholeheartedly believe that the club needs a proper customer experience team. If we had one I doubt that most of this thread exists TBH.

Sorry but that felt like I was reading through the journalistic musings of a parallel universe. Sydney the most popular team. GWS with 20,000 more fans than North last year. Brisbane pushing Collingwood all the way in terms of fan numbers. That website should be called Roy Crock Of s**t

Dude, first of all I am so sorry to hear that you work in insurance. Just know that the entire community here can get you through this tough time, let us know how we can help.

Secondly, what I meant by "treat them like an insurance company" is being dismissive of their 'offer' and taking them to town negotiating a better deal. I am happy to do it to Insurance company filth (again, so sorry) but I can't quite bring myself to do it to North.

My * mates have received their renewals, they’re complaining about a 9% increase

Importantly (cc The Warlord), Essendon fans with seats in the L2 bays that NMFC fans have lost are reporting their access has been unimpacted.

So the notion this affects all Marvel stadiums can finally be put to bed, it appears:

It depends what you think the data its showing.

Half of Sydney say they go for the Swans. But less than one in five of those can name more than one or two current players, and even less have a vague sense of the fundamental rules of the game.

Same thing in Brisbane.

I also think it shows the incredible loyalty of the roos supporter base.

Been reviewing the membership pricing.
It was $500pa back in 2014-15 for a reserved seat on Level 1 on the wing.
It slowly increased each year till it hit $565 in 2019 and stayed there during the Covid years. It if weren’t for Covid I have no doubt the club would have hiked them up sooner.

Jumped up to $589 last year as a go f*** yourself from the club after we all donated our membership fee in 2020 and 2021.
Now it’s $629. For 7 home games. I’m paying $90 to sit in my seat and then the gift to miss out on tickets for 4 replacement games.

Our club is a mess. North really is out of touch.

LOL

I used to work in Insurance, not anymore. However I will say that big corporates are very same same but different colour scheme.

In terms of negotiating I am not sure why you wouldn't if you're able to.

Mine 'accidentally' went up a level. Fixed quickly but there is a pattern emerging here.

Just opened the 2024 membership email from the club headed "Gumble, we're excited for 2024!"
I must admit that after seeing my Level 1 Reserved Seat membership has apparently gone up $40 to $704 I wasn't feeling overly excited. Seems like a hell of a lot of money for 7 games. Seeing as they are advertising this membership as being from $629 I think a call to the club is in order.
I have reserved seats on Level one and Invoice for daughter I just got in the mail (The other 3 I got on email) has gone up from $56 a month to $62.90 a month so I am wondering what membership you have? Hers says Adult Social Club Reserved Home. Dont use the social club so seems I am paying for something I dont need. I am weighing up my options too as hubby is keen to do a lap in the caravan next year but I will be a 50 year member next year so need to find the cheapest option to keep the years of membershio.

I think that they may have added my AFLW membership to the invoice, but this is just a guess as the invoice had bugger all information attached. It looks like I have already paid for the AFLW membership separately so I need to call them to clarify

If you have things like Aflw memberships or polos then the first payment will be more . Mine goes from $112 as a first payment to $62 for the remaining 9 months

You can itemise the invoice by going into your account and clicking on "view invoice details" which is under payment details .If you have things like Aflw memberships or polos then the first payment will be more but you will see it all here... Mine goes from $112 as a first payment to $62 for the remaining 9 months

I tried that a few times but it was like a frozen button that didn’t open. Rang the club and they confirmed it was $629 (AFL) plus $75 (AFLW) making it $704 in total.

Logged into my Kangaroos account for the 4th time and it decided to work, showing me the itemised invoice that you mention 😬

I’ve been getting plenty of NMFC ‘partner’ offers, buy this, buy that etc but no email regarding membership or footy related stuff. Seems since they have access to your credit card like they are simply upgrading you, charging you more without permission, adding extras etc etc hoping you won’t notice/care. Membership shouldn’t be this stressful.
