At the very least, give us more replacement games at the MCG. We barely play there so it would be great if we got more games there so our youngsters can get some much needed exposure.

Marvel isn't used in September.

Sorry but that felt like I was reading through the journalistic musings of a parallel universe. Sydney the most popular team. GWS with 20,000 more fans than North last year. Brisbane pushing Collingwood all the way in terms of fan numbers. That website should be called Roy Crock Of s**t
The problem is, as someone else said when we last had them, is that most Sydney people are Sydney supporters,
Could they name a player? No
would they watch the game? Most likely not, they just want them to do well
Same with Brisbane... it should really reflect more of the actual supporters (Number of games they watch per year/go to)

It depends what you think the data its showing.

Half of Sydney say they go for the Swans. But less than one in five of those can name more than one or two current players, and even less have a vague sense of the fundamental rules of the game.

Same thing in Brisbane.

I also think it shows the incredible loyalty of the roos supporter base.
The two most interesting ones are Scum and *

Both have much lower membership rates (though I think the Scum supporters numbers there are low, they seem to breed better than rabbits)

have they sent any emails to reserved seat premiership club members over the last 2-3 weeks?

Essendon have also released their membership seating map for 2024 and, like Carlton, theirs is also unchanged from last year.

No reserved seat members in bays 38/39 or elsewhere on L2 have been told to move:

If that’s the case I am pretty dirty. He specifically said in the email to our group it’s the AFL moving us. We have now had to move from 38 to 28. So centre wing to back pocket. No sorry. No we will throw in an extra scarf for the hassle.

Sad to say mate but North will never come out and tell you or any other member caught up what the real reason is.
Also to mitigate the blowback, I doubt the club is now going to come out and acknowledge this publicly. There will be absolutely no comment. As Chad referenced earlier, if this a North decision then who cares. Its not a story.
What they are hoping for is for the initial anger and frustration to die down, and then eventually everyone gets over it and moves on. This is the North way of handling things.
They will tell you as much as they are willing to say in a phone call and via email, until you feel like you are acting over the top.

No one shits on its members like North. NO ONE.

And this is exactly what's happened. Acted like it wasn't a big deal, basically tell you to put up or shut up (and buy a membership) and that was that.

I despise this level of interaction. You choose to financially support an organisation as large as North (50,000 members) surely you expect a level of service and professionalism in return. Nothing. No one enjoys being gaslit but bloody hell do club members get treated like absolute s**t.
And they say were a member owned club!

Yeah it’s really really disappointing. We had the best seats in the ground and now I am in the back pocket. No sorry, no we will see what we can do.

It’s never been a members club always been a boys club who do what ever they want whenever they want.
We are all numbers as members that’s it the NMFC is run for certain people and there token gesture mates and there bottom feeders .
But I’m born and bred a supporter of the NMFC for the 56 years of my life and that won’t change just like the BS the supporters are put thru over seating and other things that this club.

When they see how things are not working out for them regarding memberships and extra financial support they will realise how bad they made things...

Seeing some of the stories on the News this evening about how some loyal Collingwood members with "Guaranteed Grand Final Ticket Access" attached to the type of membership that they forked out 4 figures for, missed out on tickets says all there is to say about how things work these days. It's multi-million dollar corporate businesses looking for any way to fleece the common person.

Here was an example that many fell for apparently: You needed to tick all of the boxes that Ticketek wanted you to tick as they handed out "random" tickets for those with "guaranteed grand final ticket access". So, if you just happened to NOT tick the "Potential Standing Room Tickets" box, and the Randominator 3000 just happened to allocate you Standing Room tickets, guess what happened? You guessed it; You just missed out on tickets to the Grand Final, even though you had "Guaranteed Grand Final Ticket Access" attached to the type of membership you bought.

They may as well just make the GF a black tie event!

…gone are the simpler days of a 6 hour queue through the MCG car park on the Sunday with our guaranteed Pagans Patrons GF ticket

Got it in the end but this now seems depressingly unlikely for the future

Might have to cough up one of those corporate GF packages ticket included thingo

Seemingly comes down to definition of the term 'access'. Not surprised that Ticketeks is involved in another farce.

Yep, my extended family members calling me to ask if they can use my membership without them forking out a cent, the pricks. Club support gold members x 8 in our family. As the belt’s tightened due to financial issues post lockdowns though, and given the fact we only have them for games at The ‘G and as another option come finals time, we umm and ahhh every year about having them.
