Of those 6 attribute's would you have Defensive intent ranked last, and most coachable of the lot ? think i would, so Draper looks like a decent prospect.

If I had to rank them.
1. Footy IQ
2. Ability to win 50/50's
3. Skills
4. Aerobic Capacity
5. Speed
6. Defensive Intent

Defensive Intent is only last because if you are a gun offensively, that's the best trait to have to combat a lack of defensive intensity.

Don't have to defend if you are winning the footy the vast majority of the time.

We're on the final stretch run with the National Draft only a couple of weeks away. Just like last season I'll be producing a series of full season highlights videos for the top prospects, and first up is Sid the kid, the SANFL Sensation Sid Draper.

This kid is amazing huh.....now i've swung from FOS to him. I did see someone* say he rarely kicks the ball, but he looks a beautiful kick.

*Might have been a tigers supporter who thinks he's only worth pick 20

Great work. Good read.

Draper with over 6 tackles at league levels lacks Defensive intent? Has this not been updated since the championships?

Why is Draper being slept on with media "experts"?

Not an elite kick? Height? South Australian? "Experts" have no idea?

Kicking consistency, height and general Vic media bias imo.

Probably underrated it a bit, I only watched one game of his at senior level and the ticks and crosses were more based off the championships.

Draper isn't afraid to get his hands dirty that's for sure.

Won't happen, but would've been clever to trade our F1 and change with Crows, they miss on Draper but have 2 bites for Dyson Sharp next year.

Cue the TikTok algorithm with cries of "but your F1 is not worth anything this year!" ....that would've been a smart play by us, Draper at 2, Tauru at 4.
You never know, the Crows may want out at 4 if Draper is off the board.

Adelaide: 4 & 2025 second pick
for
North: 2

Draper looks great, but if he loves Adelaide, do them a solid for a future second.

Brady it’s time to make some home visits of the expected top 4.
Turn up the pressure on the tuggers
Why are Richmond under pressure? Last time I looked, we had 8 of the first 24 picks and your team has 1?
I don’t think either side is under pressure to do anything to be honest, but something is brewing if Port and GWS are reportedly being dragged into discussions.
Wait and see I guess

We need to convince the Crows that Draper will be gone by #4 and to look at getting an extra F1st for Sharp next season... ;)

As I mentioned, I'd be giving them ours for 4.......take both Draper and Tauru. Sharp gunna be hot hot property next year.

* Even though next year's draft is complete garbage apparently :drunk:

Even if we keep 2 I’m sure we’ll trade to get at least a late first rounder which may get Trainor. I notice the Bigfooty Phantom draft has him going at 26, I doubt that happens but you never know. The only thing that phantom draft has shown is that nobody knows anything.
More so than any other year, clubs are keeping very quiet about who their targets are and I can understand why, I doubt very much if we pick Luke as we need a couple of key forwards, we used a first rounder on Will Dawson last year and we are getting our list balance right as for Luke going at pick 26 in the Bigfooty phantom draft, you know what, I wouldn't be surprised, I see him going very late in the first round which would be in the mid to late twenties.

I watched the states, did not rate their performances one bit. The talls were all rather underwhelming to be quite honest. None really jumped out and said “I AM HERE”
I think sometimes you have to factor in other things such as the conditions, some of those games the talls had no influence and no chance, the delivery, wow, in some of those games even plugger and Dunstall would have been half pressed to do something.

I get what you are saying because in the draft thread on the main board at the start of the year I said if Kayle Gerreyn were to play to his potential he would smash his way into that top ten, now Kayle had a very good year but in some of those matches in the championships the conditions were no good for tall players and like I said the delivery was pretty bad, add in the fact in one of those games when he did play key forward while playing okay, his opponent had the better of him, it happens.

Pretty much through the whole carnival he played ruck and at times resting forward, when you delve into the whole picture there can be reasons why the key forwards didn't play to a much higher standard.

Let’s make this very simple, keep pick 2 and draft Sid.
