So there's 2 options with the forward line:

1) old school:
Take ~$500k players averaging 90-95 as your premos/keepers (Bolton, Moore, Greene, etc). Expect a reduced FWD line premo average (how it was a few years ago, where 90-95 average was enough). Hope that we don't get too many DPP changes that bring studs to the forward line.
eg. Bolton, Moore, Flanders, Smith, rookie x4 (total spend = $2.5 mill-ish)
95 + 90 + 90 + 90 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 (+ 50) = 615 (in brackets is rookie on another line)

or

2) weak forward line:
Start with a weaker and cheaper FWD line, expecting to make 4 upgrades, then wait for the inevitable DPP changes, and hope the FWD line gets some 100+ average premos.
eg. Flanders, Smith, ~$300k, ~$250k, ~$200k, rookie x3 (total spend = $2 mill-ish)
90 + 90 + 70 + 65 + 60 + 50 + 50 + 50 (+ 110) = 635 (in brackets is a premo on another line)

As always its rookies determine structure. If you have 6 viable non premos (320k or less) then there’s little reason not to pick all of them, count your winnings and use that money elsewhere.

Hurn finished my team as perma captain in his last game. Scored 88.
Thats 88 more points than any of you cretins have scored in real life SC points.
My planning for 2024 no longer involves The Thigh Master so I no longer plan.

2024 is gonna be lit. Im back. Had a break this year and finished 75k or some shit.
West Coast were poo but slightly less poo late in the year.
We will rebuild. My team will rebuild.

GFYs. I love you all hahahaha. Beer time.

Flanders supposedly close to a 4 year deal to stay at the Suns. Not sure if that's a good thing or not SC wise. Dimma's style didn't produce good SC mid's at Richmond. But he didn't tag either so that might make Touk worth it.

Jeremy Sharp going to Freo apparently. Could be next years Brodie. Price should be $150k-ish.

Freo likely to loose Henry and lost a winger last year.

GC have a strong second team.
Some might leave for more games in the AFL.

Kentsable made the VFL team of the year 40 ..

New avvie too.

Sooo sexy. Like *en take a look and bring a kleenex kenties because my PC screen aint got no windscreen wipers and I know as sure as hell yours dont.

Great news for the Suns if true. Enough to really consolidate my position on staying away from the other Suns mids though.

Agree that Rowell is the one for anyone that insists on going there. I wonder what would happen to his scoring if the in-and-under role he plays was shared with other players (Davies is probably the obvious one there). If he was able to spend more time racking up cheap possessions (at least compared to how hard he has to work for them atm) he could easily become a top 10 mid next year. Still too many question marks though, so I'll be staying far away until after the season starts.

Flanders as a forward seems a good option - 'It was a massive part': Young Sun signs on after 'Dimma' chat

Agree about the other midfielders. Expect to see more rotations through there (hopefully) with Humpa improving and maybe Davies too.

Retired.

Wilmot is more of a lock
He's a good little player who will keep improving. But as the same price as Kiddy, I'm taking the older player who averaged 87 a couple years ago. If Wilmot was cheaper, then I'd consider him as a stepping stone. Kiddy could be a D6 keeper.

Kiddy dealt with getting dropped this year, then came back in and cemented his spot. He'll be coming off a much higher average than Wilmot too.

I think option two weak forward line is the go. I doubt i ll even get Flanders. I do like the prices of Bazlenka and Lynch though.

Option 2 looks better according to the calculations. Leaves room for the inevitable high score DPP mid/ fwds that eventuate. Flanders is a viable option imo
Yep, the DPP additions change things. Back in the day, we'd have to accept a weaker forward line and just load up on 90-95 average premos. Now there's a decent chance we get somebody like Walsh, Trac, Bont, etc., so it's worth waiting. I remember a few years ago, the winner had DevSmith at F6 all season with a 85 average. Toby Greene with a 90 average was considered a premo.

Flanders, Bazlenka and TLynch will be bloody popular
Hopefully we get a few rookies
I think we'll be forced to take a punt on a midpricer or 2 as well though

-One of Soligo, Rachele or Pedlar should get more midfield time and might jump by 10+ points and average somewhere in the 80s, and be a fine stepping stone.
-Does Zac Bailey finally get a bit more mid time?
-What price with Liam Ryan be? 75 average from only 3 matches played
-Will one of Hobbs/Caldwell make a leap?
-Does Will Phillips retain FWD DPP? Does he become a core midfield for the Roos?
-Could Lipinski get bulk midfield time after a full preseason?
-Does Bruhn retain FWD DPP? Will he improve his fitness and increase his low TOG%?

briggs + tom green are locked in for the next 5 years
