Really making me sweat over Doch and Daniel positions for my keeper league.

Everything was at a standstill till after the MELB cup ......IIRC info was pretty late last year, and I can see the same again ....maybe early DEC

Herald Sun definitely had an early October-ish article last year with player positions and SC prices - I have the screenshots taken on October 3rd for Rozee, Errol and ND (yes, my keeper team is stacked).

Last year all the info was confirmed by the AFL Player Ratings twitter page, they had the ratings for each position after R23, but I hasn't posted anything since.

FWIW I recall seeing a post late last year that said Docherty would definitely be a mid only next season.
AFL app had Daniel listed as a midfielder forward currently.

Daicos listed as a mid only, but I don't think they have rankings for Defender Mids (or Ruck Forwards) so he's still probably a chance to retain DPP.

this is last 3yrs salary cap + rd 1 magic number

shows that especially the last 2 yrs the salary cap / MN have moved proportionately for the game to keep the same structure once you convert that to relationship to players priced at average rather than $$

so given we know averages and discount formula there is minimal need to wait for salary/price rev’eals before you’d have a good idea on how a squad could be constructed

So the 8 teams playing in the opening round get 2 byes during the season.

Not sure getting a round 2 or 3 bye is much of an advantage. If anything, it's more of a disadvantage. Round 5 or 6 would be good though.

Yeah, looks like it could be best 18 in round 2,3,5,6. Normal in round 1 and 4 (gather round). That will create an interesting dynamic but is manageable. No idea what to do with round 0 though. Can think of some solutions but they all have significant drawbacks.
