Yeah, a best 12 or something scenario looks the best option.

Going to be interesting from a strategy perspective. Do you load up on Round 0 players to get a head start? But if you do, you are then faced with having to burn trades in subsequent rounds to fix your team and limit bye players without actually improving your team significantly in the process. This will hurt in the back end of the season and you'll potentially lose the advantage you gained at the start.

He had games scoring 126 and 96 playing as a defender this year.

Yeah will definitely be an option if he retains forward status. 12 games @ 68 so $375k odd.

For sure. Also, you will have to still factor in the normal bye rounds which adds another layer of complexity. Probably helps the more serious players like those on this board. Less serious types don't usually put much effort into bye planning.

Not sure getting a round 2 or 3 bye is much of an advantage. If anything, it's more of a disadvantage. Round 5 or 6 would be good though.

Yeah, but one of our players could just as easily get a concussion in round 0 and be unavailable for round 1, unlike everyone else.

Yeah, looks like it could be best 18 in round 2,3,5,6. Normal in round 1 and 4 (gather round). That will create an interesting dynamic but is manageable. No idea what to do with round 0 though. Can think of some solutions but they all have significant drawbacks.

I might be out if it gets to the point where there are that many ‘best’ 18 rounds.

I'm feeling similar. Will see what they come up with. Found the sub rule pretty frustrating last year and considered taking this year off based on that.

Load up on mid pricers. Try for 24 or 25 of them to cover the byes. Only play I can see working
