Prediction 2024 predictions

The final eight will be us, Carlton, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, GWS, Port and someone else (maybe Melbourne). Not necessarily in that order.

We may not finish on top, as we will have another late season slump due to some trickery by Jarrod Wade, but we’ll wake up again for the finals and win the flag.

Unlike some masochists on here, I DO NOT WANT to play Carlton in the GF. The stress would be unbearable. Plus I don’t think Carlton are that good, although some of you are seeing - for the first time in your lives - what it’s like to have a cocky and over confident Carlton. Horrible isn’t it?

Naicos = Brownlow.

JDG, IQ, McCreery and Hill will have better seasons than last year. Crazy I know but these guys have room for improvement (or more consistency in JDG’s case) and this will help drive us to another flag.

AJ will have a break-out year.

Normal script this time of year for Carlton. My prediction for the Blues.

Round 1 - premiership hope
Round 6 - wheels fall off
Round 12 - sack the coach and leadership group
Round 14 - stage late comeback
Round 22 - scrape into finals or fall agonisingly short
End of season - Carlton faithful group hug and convince themselves next year will be the year, still in rebuild after 20 years.
