Definitely one of them!

We’re so much better with him in the team.

He’s to our backline what Martin is up forward.

We are so much better now with Gov and Saad back in defence...we really missed them.

Also, having them back is the reason we've been able to experiment with Williams forward and Cincotta in a run with role, which have both been successful so far, so their returns helped us all over the ground.

I remember watching a Prelim final many moons ago Brisbane vs Sydney. Sydney had pushed Brisbane all night and looked to have them on the ropes at 3/4 time. Brisbane came out led by Voss and just blew them away in the last quarter and went on to win the premiership. Last night reminded me of that quarter, with Cripps playing the Voss cameo. Not saying we're going to win the premiership, but its great to see some of the old Brisbane success rubbing off on our side.
With the exception of Sydney in Sydney, I’m confident we can beat anyone else. Think the Swans will wilt later in the season and are a much inferior team off the SCG.
Teams don’t do what we did last night against a good opponent on the road without being genuine premiership material.
Fingers crossed we get momentum and good health at the right time of the year.

Yeah I noted during the game how hard the Poort players front-run. They rolled the dice and it somewhat worked for them at times. But boy did they have no answers late.
It is a game style that needs spot on execution. Kicking and Handballing must hit the release target and they didn't have the skills to execute it.
Our scoring from turnover was so high because we feasted on mis hit kicks and handballs when they were all running forward of the ball in preparation of the exit. Looks great when it works but completely leaves you open on the counter when you coc* it up.

Fu**ing great win. Lots to like across the board with our lesser lights really stepping up and our brighter lights shining like they should.

Winning on a Thurs night rocks.

Just waiting on JustaBattler slow-motion analysis of the game. Or did you feed fatso too many hot chips, BLUEALLTHRU ? He still must be passed out.
I find his play by play dyslexic analyses gives me migraines so I prefer not too. JustaBattler was mighty impressive last night, Full Red Rooster chook, family chips and 2 foot longs with a couple of chocolate mousse.

Last night, for the first three quarters was a familiar case of we have to work really hard to score because our decision making and ball use are not consistently good. I did not see the last quarter coming. The game opened up and we rolled right on through. Started smashing it out of the centre, started using the ball to advantage and most importantly finished off the good work. When Blake kicked the goal I knew we were not going to be beaten. Such a good feeling.

Great team effort across the whole game with our persistence eventually rewarded.

Some great selection issues coming soon. Hopefully Mots can have a good game and push his case for next week. Straight swap for Fanta.

Fog - Barometer.

Must beat the Bombres.
That last quarter was peak Carlton 2023 which is a reassuring / ominous sign given our draw opens up post bye

Gee their midfield was ordinary...

Drew, Boak, Wines, Butters - none really fired a shot.

JHF their only bright light...

We were just better than them on the night. You could see, at least in the first 3 quarters how quickly they move the ball from a centre clearance. Butters, JHF and Rozee are scary good when they get going and still young, Wines and Boak you always have to pay respect to.

Uhoh, you tagged JustaBattler again, he won't be happy

“I remember watching Ollie’s first couple of games that were around 90,000 and thinking it would be cool to do myself,” he said.

“The rest of my family were Carlton fans growing up, so they were enriched in [the rivalry]. I’m figuring it out now, but it’s very special. There’s a lot of history between these clubs and to be able to play a part in building the new history is pretty cool.

Agreed.
With the exception of Sydney, our losses have been marginal and we could have won every game we've played in. When we've got a critical mass of our squad out there, we don't fear too many team.

Particularly love that our last two wins have shown our ability to put the foot down and win emphatically. The season is building!

Oh no doubt we are the real deal. In the end I think it will come down to the fitness and form of the big four, Cripps, Walsh, Charlie & Harry. Crippa has limped through the backend of most seasons, last year was no different. If he's fit he makes all the difference IMO.

Yep, last week and this week we showed how good our mids can be. Gold Coast and Port have very good players, but didn't have answers for us when we hit full tilt.

I think having Cinc, Elijah, Williams and Fog rolling up to those stoppages really gives us the dynamic we've been missing. I know it's been said, but huge thumbs up to the coaching group for trying something new with Williams and Cincotta.

Now I'm really looking forward to putting the bombers midfield in their place.

Great win
TDK becoming the player we have wanted him to be. Clean hands, smart taps and extra mid. Offering lots around the ground and has blitzed last 2 weeks
Crippa fantastic to lift himself up and say I am going to do this. Every second possession resulted in a score
Cincotta buttered his toast, has had a very solid month taking games biggest names on and beating them
Kempy is becoming a great asset. Will be used all over the ground, will move to the midfield and be a fantastic utility
Great team effort
10 days rest, focus and get ready for bringing down * in front of 95k

Big 5: Weitering. Just no sufficient replacement for what he provides us.
