That was simply magnificent. Port at home were electric, umpiring was ordinary but we just gave a complete performance. It really was a who dares win game and we held out and we held our nerve all game and then exploded in the last.

I can’t remember being as proud of the boys as I am today for at least a couple of decades. That’s not to say I have not been proud of this team, especially the last 2-3 years but tonight was an absolute team effort. Everyone was playing for each other, no passengers and no one trying to be more than they had to be. We played like a premiership team tonight under extreme pressure. We grew 10 inches as a team tonight.

One thing that really drove it home for me is we didn’t go into our shells like we have in the past and create a cardiac Carlton finish!

Maybe Plugger and Gary Ablett are the only two players more deserving of a premiership than Cripps and that is saying something. This man deserves one and I pray in the next 2-3 years he snags one or maybe two, he is a ****ing GUN!

I could go on and on but in the end just want to say thank you the whole organisation rom the admin, to the coaches, to the players, to the bootstrappers! This club is all on the same page, playing for each other with a magnificent culture.

Took years but our window is open, #17 will be soooooo ****ing sweet!

I was surprised at the half time angst in the matchday thread. We always looked like we had their measure. It was just a matter of when we would start monstering them from the clearances.

I know Jordan Boyd has had better games. But well done to him by wearing the long sleeves. I’m taking it as a tribute to SOS for the great man’s 57th birthday tomorrow. Happy birthday SOS!!!

Oh… and Cincotta… he just entered beast mode.

Let’s smash * next week.

I'm not sure id watch q1-3 again but that last was pretty special and as was said earlier, we kept them at arms length, wasn't the usual heartstopping stuff

Why not?

They threw everything at us and we kept them at bay (and probably should have been leading by more).

This is what a four quarter effort against good oppo looks like. It’s not always pretty.

Hope you don’t mind the intrusion.

I’m on my second wife in life, both barrack for the blues so I have watched nearly every game since watching Hamill and Whitnall smash my team live at Princess Park with the old pixelated screen after drinking beers at the Sarah Sands.

What a win and what a last quarter from the captain!

Hope you smash the Bombers next week, good luck for the rest of the year!

Couldn't care less about Walsh's errant kicking tonight. He worked hard from first siren to last, and was still power running late in the last. He was head and shoulders our best.

Cincotta and Fog were monsters defensively, and Saad was so much better for last weeks' run. Newy had some moments, but great on balance.

TDK bookended the game well.

I potted Harry early but he stuck to the task came up big when it counted.

Cripps put his stamp on things in an otherwise so-so night. Extraordinary five minutes of football to start the last.

A few gripes, but they can wait.

How well is Cripp's running and kicking... just a delight to watch in every aspect...
Yep all the opposition can do now is try to completely deny him getting near the ball, as he's more damaging ball in hand than ever. Worked for Port for 3 quarters, then he had enough lol and engaged god mode.
