There’s a reason we haven’t moved in premiership betting after tonight’s game. 😉

Yeah, this game did nothing to diminish our chances. We were just misfiring when it counted. Our defence is struggling a little for valid reasons.

Agree, but he only got a quarter, I'd be dropping the ineffectual 4 quarter blokes first, like Durdin/Owies

Can't drop Durdin and Owies at the moment. We may when Motlop is back. Fantasia will probably come in for one of them next week.

Durdin must be dropped. Sorry, but he must be.

You cannot have pretty much zero impact on the game and then when your time comes miss a routine set shot like that.

That wasn't just a miss... it was a terrible miss. He's still young, developing player but fmd that's taking the piss that performance.

How many times Charlie outnumbered, brings the ball to ground i50 and Durdin's nowhere near it to crumb.

He needs to be disciplined.

I’ll start on umps.
Williams coat hangered
50m to Cameron was ridiculous
Guthrie kicks it straight toward boundary(throw it in not deliberate)
Not a single holding the ball in our f50.
The Henry goal review.- a push in the back to start, then no clear vision but pay the mark.

We burned ourselves no doubt. And maybe the end result stays the same. But man these yellow folk can make the game very hard to think it’s fair an a day to day basis.

Good fight in the end but we just have to more clinical when it really counts.

Onto the pies and maybe we get a few back and can get the job done.

It didn't come off in the end, but I just have to marvel at Blake Acres and his liking for big moments. He's a lightning rod for generating crowd excitement.

Voss selected Cowan ahead of Cincotta two weeks running, so I suspect he's going to keep doing that until Saad comes back. Not sure whether it's because Cincotta has been trying out midfield minutes, or he just likes Cowan more. Both have mongrel but Cincotta has pace. Vossy does like his penetrating kickers though.
I like Moo but I feel like Cincotta has more strings to his bow and can be our Maynard. It’ll be a different lineup and gameplay that Vossy will be coaching against.

Our defence against their smalls will be imperative - Hill and Elliott in particular.

Moore will have troubles defending 1v1 against Charlie so if they try to get Frampton to help him then that should let H be a free target.

Midfield were awesome, again. Backline and Forward line undermanned and underperformed.

Forwards were given plenty of good opportunities, lots of kicks 30 out in front missed.

24 forward 50 tackles an indication of how crowded our forward line was, yet with straight kicking we were still a chance.

I wanted to get a look at Binns and although it was only a quarter, he really didn't look like he belonged out there. I'd consider Elijah on Ollie's wing, rotating with Cottrell. Has the same tank.

Cincotta could easily play wing as could Cerra, even Williams

I like Elijah inside 50 with some midfield minutes. Way to dangerous

Once again wasteful as hell. Geelong were pinpoint most of the day and clearly better. We did well to stay as close as we did. It would have been funny if we managed to pinch it.

Weiters and Harry were great. Glad Binns got a run. We will need to be better next week.

Can't stomach the umps were crap calls after we kicked 2.8 in the first quarter and our disposal wasn't at AFL standard.
We should never have been in such a bad position in the first place to worry about blaming umpiring decisions.

Agree we were very wasteful. Can't ignore umpiring was a disgrace though... it cost us a lot of goals for and against tonight no doubt.

It wasn't just the goal kicking or the umpires, we also had several periods where composure went out the window and we absolutely butchered kicks leading to embarrassing turnovers.

We kick straight and we win for sure, but they weren't the only kicks that let us down. Several between 50 turnovers from shocker kicks also killed us.
