Horrible game of footy because of the frustration and consistent underperformers shitting the bed. Owies durdin acres first 3 qtrs Holland's Carrol. Then there's too many errors from newman kemp young and Williams in defense. That was a pathetic group performance from them expecting weitering to do everything. Christ. In the game because pitto and Cripps play Superman in the middle and the smalls at each end and on the wing s**t themselves

Acres? He was great all game

Make no mistake, that was a horrendous result. Score board flattered us in the end. That was a 5 goal loss to a team that played in awful conditions last week. We should have ran over the top them. Not the other way around. We need some troops back asap. We need to make changes. Hollands has got to go. Owies the same. s**t performance. s**t result. Just s**t.

Not horrendous, we have many more out than they do, if you said before the GWS game we’d win one of the next 2 you probably thought that would have been fair.

How weird does it feel being genuinely mad that we feel we should be winning basically every game now? Not long ago we were seething for every opposite reason.

Very proud of how far we have come as a club.

We are lead by a brilliant skipper, coach and we are FINALLY starting to be the Carlton Football Club this competition once feared.

We were totally out coached.

Geelong are what a well drilled team with a plan looks like.

Next week Cerra Cuningham and Fantasia - straight in.
Gov 1 more week maybe

pizzed orf would be an understatement - heads are going to roll.

Look, I'm disappointed. Furious. Hate losing. Particularly hate losing games we absolutely could have won.

But Geelong won't play any better than that. They were superb. We can play much better than that. And were playing a depleted 22. And we never gave up - love that.

No reason to hang our heads after today, and clear points of improvement to take out of it. Heads up, looking forward, I say.

We also have pinched games this year, notably the Freo one and Brisbane too. 5-2 is ok considering everything.

Thought our intent was huge, just couldn't capitalise

Loving our fight, will take us along way
Interested in your thoughts Arrow, i have loved our intent, we dont give up, we can score quickly and we are hard at it, but our decision making, composure, skills, i50 entries are terrible.

Is it a coaching issue or is it a individual player issue?

The start of the 3rd and 4th quarters where we had all of the ball, the first 3 or 4 forward 50 entries, stuffed them all and then Geelong ran the ball forward and score a goal, at the start of the 4th we had the first 3 shots at goal.

I dont think AFL players are stupid, so i lean towards a coaching issue.

Few points:

- I thought the 33 point margin late in the 4th flattered the Cats, they weren't that much better than us and I'm happy we were able to peg it back.

- If you had told me at the start of the year that we'd play Geelong with the injuries we do and lose by 13 points, I would have been pretty happy (well as happy as can be considering the circumstances).

- With Gov and Saad in, our defence would have obviously looked very different. I highly doubt Geelong would have been able to score as many goals as they did if they weren't injured.

- Our entries were pretty average all night. Add some better users and some better small forwards into the side and the scoreline would have looked quite different IMO.

- The umps can GAGF! Not blaming them but there some ridiculous calls and non calls.

It certainly did. We got junk time goals when the game was done. Made it look closer than it was

We kept pushing and it was reward for effort. It was only them kicking the first 4 of the last quarter which blew the margin out at that time, wasn’t like we were out of the game all day and made a charge late.

I don’t like losing either but it happens, we will lose games.

Bad goalkicking and reamed by umps aside, way too many passengers today.

Small forwards - got next to no influence from Owies, Durdin and Carroll. All 3 barely touched it and only contributed 1 goal. They didn't do much defensively either. Really poor and makes it hard to win.

This is where missing Martin, Motlop, Fog and even Cunners hurts. I'd drop one for Fantasia just to make a statement, even though Fantasia hasn't been great either.

Midfield - Did well we smashed them in cleaeances and I50s but too much reliance on Cripps, Walsh and Hewett. Kennedy didn't have a good game, neither did O Hollands. Acres good in last but pretty poor before that.

Cerra and Cunners back hopefully next week will spread the load and make a difference.

Defence - Williams had a shocker, poor kicking and getting outmarked by Stengle. Cowan had a few dump panic turnover kicks.

Felt the loss of Saad and Gov.

Don't think it was coaching, players rushed most of the game, didn't show composure and our execution suffered

Even with set shots, we didn't take the allocated 30 seconds
