If Essendon lose this week and we win this game, the minor premiership is almost wrapped up. Another team would have to win three more games than we do (four more due to percentage in some cases) in the second half of the season.

Assuming we win at least 7 more games, that would be next to impossible.

Should be a whopper of a crowd … will help that Monday’s a public holiday too 🤗

I’m going with > 45k 💪

Will be my first game of the season, will try to get there early to avoid the crush at the Blues game.

I wouldn't be so sure that JJ doesn't go to Stewart. Part of the success teams have had in nullifying him is using forwards to drag him away from the forward line by becoming a plus one at stoppages. Stewart (and Geelong) either have to let their opponents have an extra at the contest or drag Stewart away from the defensive 50 to follow his man.

I wouldn't be surprised if Geelong have come up with a counter to this by the time we play them but based on the past few games there's no reason a player like JJ wouldn't be able to execute that perfectly

JJ has shown great discipline in his run with efforts. He or Hayward could do the job of keeping Stewart accountable.

We have multiple threats both forwards and mids….I am not sure we need to do much with Stewart at all.

Bye weeks are the cause of toasties, Sam Reid jokes & bumping the Judas thread.

Anything to break the monotony.

Sam Reid probably owns the record for the most weeks off.

Old TBC!!!

Have ditched toasties, instead having 2 single pieces of toast covered with stuff and roasted.

A recent weird one involved sour dough, butter, cream cheese, home preserved plums*, marscapone and icing sugar..

* plums were preserved in brandy with cinnamon stick and anise.

Its probably the most confident i have been going into a Geelong game for a long time.

Would be disappointing to not walk away with the 4 points here.
So long as we don’t learn the hard way that during the bye someone bonked someone else’s partner whilst jumping over a chain fence catching a gridiron ball in a nightclub. Or something like that.
