Ok, so I walk about for a couple of hours and have to speed read through 15 pages....

I'm in for Kemp & Macrae, pick 47 is a little insulting on the final day, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a 3 way trade worked out with the Blues to be honest.

As for Richmond, that's a massive score from Freo. I've got a few ideas but these will probably happen after the player trade period.

The most out there one is the riskiest. And here it is...

7, 8 and F1 for 1, 6.

I know 7 should be off limits, but to get our choice of the top mids and a guaranteed top 6 mid could be worth it. Richmond will probably laugh at this though.

Next is more realistic.

8 & F1 for 6 & 18 & 20.

6 again is a great spot for us, especially if a tall is taken beforehand. 18 & 20 will net us 2 very good players, guys like Hynes and a tall for example.

I feel North will probably just come in for 6 with something like their F1... that could work in our favour though. Tauru will be before 7, meaning Dees would likely have to go tall also (Armstrong) - leaving a top 7 mid there at 9. Those 2 being taken before us @ 7 & 8 would mean 3 top 7 mids will be there to choose from. That's HUGE, but Melbourne need to flinch!

So I think I've deduced that we are better off keeping 7 & 8 - especially if North, as hoped, gets 6 without giving up 2.

It leaves our only other piece of capital to trade as F1. If Richmond really do want to smooth out those first rounders over 2 years our F1 and change could net us pick 11. That's what I'd be targeting.

Man, it's the hope that kills you.

Now back to getting Macrae and Kemp.

I love Oasis but City fans lifting our cup is just like Doc running around with the cup in a Filth jumper... noone wants to see that!

Crossley needs to trim down but he's not a bad option. I remember him from the All Stars game, he was roving balls and kicking goals. Looked blue chip. He's about 20 KGs overweight and needs a dietician and a fitness program. He could be a pretty handy forward ruck if you put the time in.
He’s a park footballer at heart.

Hard pass.

His back end of the season was good but he also hasn't been able to cement a spot in the side for a decent period of time.

If that's not flaky I'm not sure what is. And I rate him by the way.

I think it's lack of vision by the coaches.

Reckon he showed plenty some time ago.

I think ross is on board now.

Well its not done yet. Id assume its pending Kemp and other stuff but again, the point isnt about us ****ing him off, its about doing the right thing by him if were looking past him.

Others can view it differently but i like that as a club we have a reputation for taking care of our players towards the end of their careers.
We are no better or no worse than other clubs , we have dumped plenty of players who have done knees and not sure the Seb Ross thing was done all that well

Thats still not really the point. Collingwood might be saying he plays every week, we wont offer him that guarantee, in fact wed be hoping he doesnt.

If the deals on offer are the same but the Pies are giving him an AFL game every week, he might prefer that.

If he does i like that wed help that happen.
I know he’s getting on, but he was very good in the second half of the year. I don’t understand losing him for nothing. And I’ve been against most of the proposed trades for 26+ yo.

I disagree but in any event were not a club known for being difficult to deal with when a player wants out.

Skunk hasn't been at his best for much of the past 2 season either TBH.
Not at his best no doubt but still our best performed key forward last year.

Anyway, I wish him all the best. Will be a very handy pick up for the Pies if they get him.

Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but it is what it is.

visentini along way in front of Heath atm in my opinion.
Heath won’t make the grade. Happy to be proven wrong
We should've picked him over Oscar Adams. Easier in hindsight of course

We are happy to retain Tim on a one year deal, however he wants job security.
He goes elsewhere where he plays AFL next year he can potentially extend his career for another four years.
He stays here and we priorities our youth, he stays in the vfl and doesn’t get interest in 12 months time it’s all over.
Not hard to wrap the head around
