2nds 2024 VFL thread

I genuinely want to see at least 6 of our undrafted academy kids play for our VFL team next season.

Really don’t see the benefit of them all playing academy games next year, unless it’s a genuine requirement for us to retain academy rights to them.

We've lost quite a number of players already in our VFL team - Lohmann, Hude, Martyn, &Greene. Plus, our AFL leavers: Sharp, Lane, JL, Prior, Madden.
Only confirmed ins so far are: Creighton [reportedly], Gallop, & Marshall. So, hopefully we see some of our undrafted academy players get a go

But the ACL boys have to return at some stage. McCarthy, Doedee, Gardiner & Coleman
Then you have Levi. If he plays AFL another has to drop back to VFL

This group either play VFL or if not someone in the seniors drops back to the VFL
Barring injuries the VFL should have a decent side

On a separate note, nice to have Lions academy and AFL/VFL players being part of the Panthers set up in the SANFL with others such as Ely Smith, Sam Skinner playing in the past as well
