The AFL has today confirmed the fixture for the 2024 Smithy’s VFL preliminary finals.

First Preliminary Final, Werribee (1st) vs Brisbane Lions (3rd)
Avalon Airport Oval, 11:00am AEST

Second Preliminary Final, Footscray Bulldogs (2nd) vs Southport Sharks (5th)

Speaking the obvious here but you wouldn’t think we’d be playing Gallop in a VFL final if he wasn’t on our radar for a list spot.

Not a bad option as a rookie pick out of the academy.
