Didn't get to watch the game, read over a couple of pages of this thread. Not much said about Jack Payne, did he do enough to be an automatic inclusion for the EF if deemed fit? Is it as simple as Joyce out and Payne in?

Edit- Looking at the stats, Dev Robertson only 12 disposals but had 10 tackles, did he cop a heavy tag? Academy boy Liam Hude 3 goals, impressive?
Payne took a few intercept marks, did his job imo.

Hude was great to watch.

No but he got through the game and looked to be moving freely towards the end.
I assume that was the club and his intentions for the game.
So, an automatic selection if he does not pull up sore and trains through the week.

Regarding Dev i did not notice a tag.
I think it was just the Dogs midfield was way better and more damaging than ours.
We won hit outs by a staggering 81-37 Fort had 68 but we only won clearances by 7.
In my opinion the Dogs were the better team, and we struggled to get enough possessions losing disposals by 80 (342-262).
The Dogs also won inside 50's 52-41 on a windy day.

it was blowing a gale but both teams did not get full benefit of the breeze.
In the end the Lions kicked 7 goals with the breeze and the Dogs kicked 8

All AFL emergencies named. Sharp, Fort & Joyce.
Be interesting to see how many minutes they play.

A few things to do Saturday so not sure how much of the game i will see but will be interested in how Torrent performs.
He played some wing & midfield time last week.
Named in the side as a midfielder but that does not always mean much.
Tunstill not playing so he may get more time in the midfield.

As usual, stats and experience only include 2021+ VFL games.
