1-0 Win at home to Newcastle Jets over Western Sydney Wanderers. First time in Jets history that they've been undefeated in their first 3 games.

Good signs with striker Melina Ayres getting in a couple of strikes on goal - a long range shot that was tipped into the crossbar and a bicycle kick shot that needed to be saved. Last season they lacked any goal scoring power, now they have Ayres back from a year off and Kelli Brown the NZ international. Lauren Allen scored their goal from a 2nd phase play off an overshot corner, the return ball finding her unmarked in the box and she headed it home in her 100th game. Suspicion of offside.

Canberra already 2-0 up vs Perth Glory with goals in the 4th minute from Michelle Heyman and 8th minute from Emma Robers. Half-time score.

Canberra United added a 3rd through Bethany Gordon in the 2nd half to win 3-0 at home. 3 losses in a row for Perth Glory after winning their opening game of the season.

Wellington Phoenix at home doing well in this game vs Melbourne Victory. By no means dominating the play but they've got closer to scoring when they've had chances and have put 1 away to lead 1-0 at half time.

1-0 at the final whistle. First ever win for Wellington Phoenix against Melbourne Victory.

Melbourne Victory dominating the territory game in the 2nd half vs Wellington Phoenix but the best chance was to the Phoenix in the opening minute of the 2nd half when a cross found Emma Main in the box but she parried it straight to the keeper. Fair bit of off the ball niggle in this game where you could see players pushing each other off play by the camera and the home crowd got into to it nearing the end, cheering for every time Phoenix defended a Victory attack.

Wellington were bottom of the table at the start of the day, Victory in 2nd place - now they're 1 point behind Victory with 2 draws and a win from 3 home games. A good boost for Wellington who lost 2 players from their squad with ACL injuries in last week's match, including perhaps their best player in Alyssa Whinham who will miss the rest of the season (and obviously the international matches vs Matildas next week).

Young Matilda Madeleine Capers putting Sydney FC ahead 1-0 vs Central Coast Mariners in the 76th minute which was the final result. Win puts Sydney FC on Top of the A League Table with 2 wins and 2 draws from their first 4 games. CCM equal bottom - although they have played 4 of the better teams to start the season.

Only the Sunday game. Canberra vs Sydney has been postponed. Maybe something to do with the numbers of players in those squads playing in the international matches (mostly Young Matildas and a few snr NZ players playing in A-League), although Melbourne Victory will have a couple out as well.

Untroubled 3-0 home win to Melbourne Victory over Perth Glory with all goals coming in the 1st half.

Melbourne Victory go to top of the ladder on 9pts but have played 5 games. With the byes and games postponed Perth Glory are the only other team that have played 5 games. Melbourne City for example have only played 2 games going into Rd 6.

Opening goal had the best finish from Kennedy White who leads the A League Women's goalscoring with 5 goals so far this season.
