F/S - Academy just needs to be matched accordingly. Make it ****ing hard if you want to jump up 10-15 spots it isn’t that hard to grasp in my eyes.

Probably the wrong thread but yeah i can't understand the furore over game length, why is a game going 5 to 10 minutes longer such a focus and point of contention? I get it for people at the ground with travel etc but surely it isn't something that is deserving of being a priority. I'd rather a bit of a prolonged game than rushing things and making mistakes etc.

I like the idea of them just balling it up rather than waiting for the rucks to cover 50m to set up. Hurry the **** up if you want to contest. Ruck nomination should go and just let free for all.

yeh agree with the not waiting part, but I think ruck nomination need to stay other wise players can just impede rucks and claim they didn't know he was contesting. Big fan of no ruck frees though, nothing high and nothing low

This kind of an incredible, dominant performance creates questions that recruiters need to answer. Is Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves the most talented prospect in the draft pool? Has he been hampered all season by injuries that have prevented him from fully showing what he has to offer?

No other prospect has had such a huge gap between his best and his worst this year, and this might just be the best single game performance we’ve seen this year. It’s the first time that he’s looked convincing playing on ball, showing that he’s capable of getting first hands on it and driving his team forward. His running power was as elite as always, but instead of running to get to a contest and then hovering around ineffectively he was much more active and impactful. His elite traits like his ball skills and marking are so good that if he can find the ball 29 times like he did in this game he is going to dominate.

I've got nothing better to do with a busted shoulder, so I went through every clip in this video. I stand by my opinion that he is a specialist forward only.

1 - Hack kick forward while not manned at all at the centre bounce
2 - 2 metre handball almost misses target
3 - Nice tackle
4 - Handballs to teammate's feet
5 - Standard kick
6 - Hack kick forward
7 - Nice running creates an uncontested mark inside 50 and nice goal
8 - Standard kick
9 - Very nice kick. Much less floaty than the rest
10 - Floaty shank
11 - Opposition man him poorly. Kicks the goal, though
12 - Nice smother
13 - Good kick
14 - Loopy handball not directly to teammate
15 - Bad handball
16 - Standard kick
17 - Nice contested mark and goal
18 - Good kick
19 - Another 2 metre handball misses target
20 - Nothing play
21 - OOTF shank
22 - Bad floaty nothing kick to an outnumber
23 - Another hack kick forward that lacks penetration
24 - Nice mark and goal
25 - Nice turn and handball, but then shanks OOTF
26 - Nice step-through in the contest, but another floaty handball
27 - Better kick towards leading forward.
28 - Hack kick forward when he has a teammate in more space running with him and calling for the ball. Gets the ball back and gives another loopy over-the-top handball to nobody
29 - Low penetration kick to the wrong option
30 - Nice mark and goal

I've bolded all of his good plays, and underlined the bad ones.

Out of 30 plays, he has 13 good and 15 bad. Of his good plays, they're much more confined to plays in and around the forward 50. 90% of his centrework is bad.

His best is Toby Greene and his worst is Ben Lennon. We've seen him go completely missing too. At least Toby Greene at u18s level was getting stacks of the ball, regularly.
