As much as i love XT I think it makes the most sense to take Cumming and Robey.

Agreed ,,,, unless ess would trade 5/6 for 3 . Don’t rule that out

Robey shot into top 5 contention after a 40 & 3 wildcard game. Seems kinda crazy that at the same time, Greeves had a 35 & 4 prelim, but is seen to be sliding, potentially into the second round. If we pass up Robey, and there’s a way to get Greeves later, I wouldn’t be against it.

Its' not down to the numbers it's how they play. Greeves is always in the same gear. One paced. Very safe prospect, extreme work rate and ball winning ability.

But limited upside and the game has trended away from this type of player for many years now if you look at all the data. Even one of the best inside mids in the whole league Tom Green is not even the most important midfielder in his own team now. That would be Finn Callaghan who breaks the games open.

I watched the Cal Twomey Phantom Draft and he openly admitted he had no idea what Richmond were going to do and either did any of the other clubs. He's looking at the tea leaves, listening to rumours and checking the stars and then coming up with our selections.

He legitimately does not know.

Sure, he's making an educated guess, saw Blair went to visit Cummings so we're getting Cummings!!! Know we need a powerful forward so...we're getting the popular choice - Robey!!!

We are just as likely to end up with Sharp & Gryll or Sharp & Cummings or Sharp & Taylor.

Personally, I hope he's right with his prediction of Robey and Cummings but I don't hold much faith in the certainty of his prediction. Blair and our club are playing the game well, hoping another club panics and trades up to us with multiple first rounders to get 'their' player. Its frustrating for us and I'm sure Cal too, but it will yield the best draft hall for us and in Blair we trust!

Yikes…if Cal is only guessing, this board is in for one hell of a ride between now and 7 pm tomorrow

Probably depends on who we've taken earlier in the draft.
If we take Cumming & Robey, I'm not sure if another big bodied mid is a requirement and NHH would probably be more of a need for balance
However, if we take Taylor plus one of Cumming/Robey, then I'd prefer we go with Jevan to continue adding to the midfield

I've already composed a trade scenario where we will get Sullivan from essendon in time for the 2029 season and our tilt at number 14
By then sully will have realised playing for the team you support growing up is not all that's its made out to be
