If we were gonna do a trade with Essendon or Melbourne they would have blabbed to Twomey by now.

Rohan O’Brien is in charge over there now. Rosa very much a figurehead. ROB runs a very, very tight ship. Wouldn’t expect a panicked trades or the usual leaks to Twomey. Fascinated to see who tigers actually pick today. I’m going to go with Cumming and Robey too.

Should be a short meeting (Robey & Cumming) unless they are needing to discuss who we bid on first.

Tauru - Played with Warragul in his bottom age year. Played 3 more Coates games than Sully in his draft year.

Oliver - Couldn't make the Bendigo Pioneers team in his bottom age year so played for Mooroopna in the Goulburn League. Came late in his draft year - no champs.

Max Holmes - Are Geelong regretting trading a future first for him? His background makes Robey look like an All Aus under 14, 16 and 18 captain. He played 1 Coates game in his bottom year and NONE in his draft year. That was it outside a few school games.

Guys dont have to come through normal football pathways that are exposed to us amateurs.

I genuinely think he’s the trade bait as we’d rather Grlj and Farrow together over Robey but if nothing eventuates we take him and probably XT maybe Cumming. If Essendon think Robey is getting through then they have zero incentive to trade.

TBH I wasn’t worried, he played as many games as Hotton did over 2 years. We like upside.

I genuinely think he’s the trade bait as we’d rather Grlj and Farrow together over Robey but if nothing eventuates we take him and probably XT maybe Cumming. If Essendon think Robey is getting through then they have zero incentive to trade.

My preference is no trade unless it involves Dons F1, if not then XT, Robey, Neon, Kellaway & Retschko is a great haul.
