Rhy saying we had Grlj on our radar since last year and we're really keen to bring him in and interviewed him very early on.

Also said we really loved Cumming and another that we had him in line for us early on as well and that it was the home visit that really nailed the deal.

Said both boys really project as Richmond men down the track.

How the **** am I over reacting? Ive said, dont know either kid or had no preference. Overreaction is the plethora of supporters here bitching & already labelling him the next whipping boy. All ive said is, hope the revruiters got it right as, clearly, a lot of supporters were already upset at it & the other bloke plays a similar role & is a massive Tigers fan who models himself on literally Vlaustin, who he could have learned off for 3 years.

Is Grlj a running hb or a stopper? I personally am never a fan of drafting any type of flanker , especially a role where you tend to get cheap kicks. Even Eggs was able to play HB & get 3 brownlow votes. Does this guy have elite "stopper" potential?

Maybe we thought he was a w***er (which he certainly sounded like), and preferred someone with better leadership qualities.

yeah, same, G will fine, a good soldier for the club, but just a bit of an empty feeling after going through the death ride all year to get the extra high pick.

you really want a sky's-the-limit potential player at 4. meanwhile, efc fans will be having an absolute belter of a night, on our's and Dee's behalf.

If we wanted a Grijl-type, we could have traded down. If the trade wasn't there, you change your plans.

Pretty sure he kicked 7 in an academy game against Coburg or something along the lines of that.

Tbh I didn't follow him that closely this year knowing we wouldn't select him after Faull, Armstrong & Sims last year.
