Best draft prospects ranked 1-50: AFL stars they play like and latest club interest intel
Why four top prospects can’t be picked; biggest bolter in 10 years — AFL Draft Top 50 Rankingswww.foxsports.com.au
34. JAI MURRAY
Position: Midfielder/Medium Defender
Size: 185cm
Clubs: Gold Coast Suns Academy/Burleigh
AFL player comparison: Murphy Reid
Another Suns Academy prospect — although one we didn’t see as much of in 2025 due to a foot injury. Murray set a solid foundation as a bottom-age player last year, starring for the Gold Suns Academy and even getting a taste of the tempo at VFL level. Murray appeared prime for a big draft year, averaging 12.6 disposals and 4.1 marks in seven Suns VFL games last year as a bottom-ager. He then starred for the Suns academy team, firstly across three games in the academy series before averaging 23 disposals in his first two Coates Talent League games. But Murray suffered a season-ending foot injury in May, just prior to the Allies’ national carnival campaign. But Murray’s work ethic during his rehabilitation and ability to put on size hasn’t gone unnoticed. Murray does some of his best work as a smooth-moving operator on the outside, where can use his endurance and line-breaking ability. A composed user, Murray can pick apart opposition sides with his good decision-making skills and ball use by foot. There’s a good chance he’s the third Suns-tied player to attract a bid, which will likely come late on the first night of the draft. The expectation from sources is that the Suns will find the points to match.
Outside of the pipe dream of adding Murray and assuming we dont take CDT this is the pick for mine. Aggressive, athletic ruck with upside. There are always a lot of good players around this pick that have the credentials to become players, but to me the most obvious position we are in need of is a ruckman, especially a mobile one with the last out rule.
Has been mentioned earlier but this kid looks to fit that mould. We lose Nank for any period of time in the next 2 years and we are left with Ryan and OHB, both are miles off.
MARCUS KRASNADAMSKIS
Position: Ruck
Size: 202cm
Clubs: Eastern Ranges/Berwick
AFL player comparison: Alex Dodson
Outside of Duff-Tytler, some clubs believe he could be the best pure ruck in the draft class, due to his enormous upside at AFL level.
Krasnadamskis barely played any footy in 2024 due to basketball commitments, which saw him trending towards a potential US college opportunity. But he was drawn back to footy — and opted to follow it full time after a strong start to his Coates Talent League season with the Eastern Ranges. Krasnadamskis would go on to play a key role in his side’s premiership triumph, playing 13 games and averaging 11.5 disposals and 14.0 hit-outs.
He received a state combine invite, with many clubs keen to see how he fared. In the smaller state pool, Krasnadamskis had four top-five finishes, performing well in the vertical jump tests and 20m sprint. He’s a competitive, physical ruck and a great size at 202cm. But he also has slick disposal skills, mobility and ground level cleanliness, while he can even provide run and carry for his side.
Plus, Krasnadamskis has lots of upside and growth left in his body. No wonder clubs are keen. All signs point to Krasnadamskis getting picked on the second night of the draft.

Will Richmond select a Ruck or will they overrate what players they already have? There are always a lot of good players around this pick that have the credentials to become players, but to me the most obvious position we are in need of is a ruckman, especially a mobile one with the last out rule.

Not sure how you could over rate Ryan (other than give him 3 years) and OHB is below him (but got better the longer the season went so a small chance). Nank is/has been great, (but not long left). Will Richmond select a Ruck or will they overrate what players they already have?
He would be the player that slides out of the suns and good choice![]()

Why? Fox Footy had him 48.What about Harry Scott?
Looks like we'll be lucky to get him at 38 based on the latest rankings
Sounds and reads like a Rookie listed Ruck to me
#38 which comes into #33 and gets the 29th best player available in the open pool , Im wanting a better player
What for He wont be selected inside the top 50Sounds and reads? Should try watch
There is not another ruck in the top 50 odd, not taller than 198cm, so they are few and far between. Given out need for one, you pay pay a little more but you don't risk him being taken before us.Sounds and reads like a Rookie listed Ruck to me

Impressive athlete, top 5 in sprints and jumping. Good write up so maybe. As far as better players go, we have just grabbed 11 under 30 in 2 drafts, that a lot of new talent coming in. so we might miss one, but we might pick up a really important player going forward.
