was a dumb joke sorry - there was some debate on this forum a year or two ago about the fact that a player could be short with higher shoulders or tall with a long neck. it has stayed with me as i found it exceptionally amusing.

Hey, don't knock the real shoulder height vs misleading neck height theory

According to Cal's latest mail - looks like it's down to 3 for us

We seem to love Dovaston, but unlikely he will slide

At our pick, Cal seems to think it's between Marsh and Ludowyke, with us leaning towards Marsh for the SA/home factor

RE Ludowyke - interesting that his junior coaches think he has the ability to be a swingman and play KPD as well as forward
IF he gets within 3 or 4 picks of where we are we will have a crack at trading up

eg.

16 + F2 for 13 + F3

It's probably playstation trade territory but I would still be attempting to move our F1 into this draft to get another top end talent, especially given the number of SA lads that are there.

We can now trade 2 years in advance, so nothing saying we wouldn't be able to move back in to the 2026 draft using 2028 and 2029 picks.

I genuinely thought shoulder tall ment no footy IQ as in doesn't have the brain for it

What comes after that?

Inside leg measurement?
meets GIF

I’d be doing Pick 16 + F1 for Melbournes 8 or whatever + F2.

Would give us two seconds next year to trade back in.

I don’t think 2027 or 2028 picks get us anything because of TAS.

If we do select The Bison, (and id be for it at 16), I would anticipate he would need a solid year of physical development in the weights room before getting considerable gametime.

However I think his mid tall size and playing style could actually be a perfect compliment to our forward line. Already looks like a player that is crafty in finding small holes in a crowded forward line.
