I just get the feeling if CDT is still there at our picks Bombers may come with an offer we can't refuse.... if reports are to be believed?

I am more inclined to simply take CDT

CDT in one half, Sims in the other and they can move around,

who knows what methods we can come up with so if the offer is so much we can't refuse it will have to be a bloody lot

CDT would be a interesting player for our fans to watch I reckon, I do not think he would be boring. If we let him go to Essendon is this another what could have been like Pavlich?

The way i see it the days of Ruckman like Nank are quickly coming to an end and importance on Rucks are diminishing
The way i see the game go is having 3-4 players capable of playing multiple roles similar to Blicavs
balta , CDT , Sims ,Miler could all take some throw in's and CDT/Sims could take center bounces

All depends on what CDT foward craft is like and if he actually can play other roles to a high level and not just be a runner

Does he think there will be more or less pressure to perform at AFL level. More to think about and less playing on instinct.

Feels like the reason why you can see players have promising rookie seasons but then fizzle into nothingness.

Maybe it's nothing. But what if it's something that holds him back from reaching his potential....

I think most players in the top 50 at one time or another would likely have similar thoughts. 18 & under year olds feeling anxious & wanting to make every post a winner.
I think this level of honesty/maturity/ self-awarenes is an indication of strong character. Kind of person RFC would be very interested in IMHO....

I wouldn’t be surprised if Essendon traded picks 5 & 6 to West Coast and receive from West Coast picks 2 & 13. The trade is maybe weighted in West Coasts favour, but it delivers Essendon pick 2 and CDT while still holding another 2 picks in the first round. Under this scenario, it protects our picks and ensures we go home with Sharp & Cumming.

So SA won the national champs, do we just draft their midfield in sharp, cumming and kellaway? A bit like last year with all our Vic metro boys these boys will instantly feel at home and bolster our midfield big time.
Big decisions ahead for the recruiting team.

Or what Brisbane did a few years ago drafting the CV boys.
All SA boys fits in what Tigerbob is hearing about Sharp.
Sharp/Cummings/(Maybe Leray @ 38) & Louie.

this is where it gets interesting.

say West Coast are chasing Sharp and or Cumming


lets assume West Coast do not want CDT.


West Coast do that trade and end up with 5 and 6. giving away 2 and 13

we pick Sharp and Cumming and West Coast stuck with 5 and 6, what do they do???

maybe they do not do anything, would they trade 5 back to Essendon for 13 and later picks assuming they think Robey little risky??? they could trade with others like Melbourne as well

to me it seems obvious Richmond's picks 3 and 4 are worth far more than earlier access and points than 5 and 6 for the Eagles regarding 2


ignoring points picks 3 and 4 are almost on par with pick 2 this year in terms of player ratings for certain clubs chasing(most likely), not quite, then pick 5 is slightly less and pick 6 a bigger drop off and it falls away a bit probablyly

Alternatively, take Robey at 3 and remove any hope of being trumped, then dangle CDT. Swap 4 for 5 and 38 for 15.

Essendon take CDT, we take Grjl and then add Barker at 15, we can still match a bid on Kellaway.

I reckon that is why we let it be known that if we don't have Louis at the top of our rankings when a bid comes we won't match so it makes any club thinking of bidding prior to 38 to think again, which then allows us to get someone else in that has slid down the order a little.
