black and white unicorn GIF

Cant see you , Did you fall off

I wouldn’t be surprised if Essendon traded picks 5 & 6 to West Coast and receive from West Coast picks 2 & 13. The trade is maybe weighted in West Coasts favour, but it delivers Essendon pick 2 and CDT while still holding another 2 picks in the first round. Under this scenario, it protects our picks and ensures we go home with Sharp & Cumming.
That would be a great trade for E-Girls if they dont want CDT
Duursm ass sharp & Cumming

This gives me the heeby jeebies for picking Grlj now.

Does he think there will be more or less pressure to perform at AFL level. More to think about and less playing on instinct.

Feels like the reason why you can see players have promising rookie seasons but then fizzle into nothingness.

Maybe it's nothing. But what if it's something that holds him back from reaching his potential....
To me I take it as a sign of him being a smart footballer, who can recognize when and more importantly why he isn't playing at his best and then know how to rectify it.

How many times do you see kids with all the talent in the world come into the league, struggle to play at the level that they did at junior level and then the harder they try to turn things around, the more they struggle.

Stephenson , Tambling , Castagna , Banik come to mind

I would add two of our four later picks to this if it got the deal done.

We take Robey and Grlj but I’m pissed off.
Unpopular opinion here but really wouldnt surprise me if we did draft Cumming & Sharp
I think our supposed need for speed and HBF'rs is over rated and midfield post Hopper/Prestia is more important and Taranto can adapt to other positions. Sharp is a set and forget the next 12-15 years and every team needs them

In my view they are the best two midfielders in the draft. If we took them 1-2 I’d have no issue with that whatsoever. Tigers could easily take one of them and Robey.

This is what I think West Coast will do.

I have no idea, I am speculating with no info, inside knowledge rumours etc..

it seems Duursma most likely pick one, seems a consensus.

What do Eagles do with pick 2???

they could trade or they hold.

if they trade they might not get what they want.

Thinking about this from a different angle they could go Duursma and Robey. Why?? Well CDT is risky. If CDT flops they are stuck with him. If CDT is a star how many Melbourne clubs will chase him and Eagles have a while to go in their build and Eagles may not get value anyway?

So if the Eagles pick Duursma and Robey they have a better chance to hold value and give themselves flexibility for the future including future trades/FA options etc...

They could go Duursma and Sharp to, of course they could. If they do get Sharp though their potential trade/exit value reduces as Melbourne clubs unlikely to chase him and only 2 clubs in Adelaide to demand anything

in a sense there is a fair chance CDT slips to 3 I think.

Another point is if you are Essendon they would prefer CDT at 3 instead of 2 as pick 3 is lower and less costly arguably

Similar applies to RFC. if CDT flops he flops, if he is a star well he should be better than TDK and look what the Saints did. RFC can probably aid CDT's development given other versatile players to help CDT's own versatility and tap into roles he can do. CDT simply might be more effective at RFC given our existing player dynamic. At RFC CDT can play literally any position on the field as well have other players that can play in other roles to work around and with him theoretically to figure out what is best for him and the team

Really makes no difference to Richmond if the eagles trade or keep pick #2
If they trade then CDT is not available
If they Keep 80% CDT is not available 20% Sharp is not available

Richmond still have #3 + #4 and take 2 of Cumming/Robey/Sharp/Taylor/Grlj
Only benefit for Richmond would be if they dont trade and Bombers still have CDT on the board they trade with Richmond

we could trade with the Bombers, involving CDT of course we could

Bombers ring and say we want CDT, Richmond picks someone else pick 3. Bombers call and say we want CDT??? Could happen. Still there, RFC still has CDT option, still has pick 4. Nothing really changed, RFC got their man at 3 and other factors and Essendon still want CDT if they do. I assume Essendon still have picks 5 and 6 etc.... RFC can think about it

if we used pick 3, CDT is still available, have pick 4 and Essendon have picks 5 and 6 highly likely, CDT worth more than whoever at 5 or 6 especially if Essendon still chasing him, points irrelevant, it is more about Essendon want for CDT versus what RFC wants. Further pick down the board affecting bids and trade opportunities reduced in the sense pick 3 gone. Other clubs could come for CDT at pick 4, of course they could. I have no idea what Melbourne want but could they shift picks around to get a combination for pick 4 and CDT.

Furthermore could Essendon trade with Melbourne or other clubs to offer a suitable pick combination for RFC's pick 4 to get CDT, like pick 5 to RFC and some other pick combination?

No credibility and no honour. Dishonest. Erratic. Needs to tell everyone he was a former afl recruiter and makes millions every year. Obviously it's a charade and he is very insecure in himself.

One can imagine what his non-digital life would be like.

In the real world, just be glad of the people we are and those who we choose surround ourselves with.

Said CDT and Sharp about a month ago - and despite about 9 million pages of posts I still haven't changed my mind.

3 CDT - Unique talent that makes us a bit different
4 Sharp - Kid who has ticked every box and screams "200 games"
I wouldn’t be disappointed with that. I think whichever way we go we are addressing a list need.

So you’re unhappy with the way we selected last year? If you are, you’re hard to please imo.
Firstly, unless we took him at pick 1, we couldn’t select Langford. So Langford over Lalor? Nup for me
With Reid, take him before Smillie, Hotton and Faull? At the time, I wouldn’t and still wouldn’t. Smillie will prove to be an outstanding midfielder imo (& don’t we need one of them!! & why we must take Sharp this year too if he’s available), Hotton looks amazing and Faull our number 1 key forward along with Armstrong for 10+ years. Reid had a great year but will he be a mid? Not sure but he’s a good player without doubt.
Finally, Shanahan. Take him before Armstrong and Trainor? No way I’d swap either of those two for Shanahan. Sims potentially but even then, Sims can play ruck and has great hands in marking contests. He’s a wait and see for me but he’s got a tonne of potential.
In my opinion, we drafted extremely well last year selecting a wide range of different types and at this stage, I wouldn’t change what we did. I don’t think we “got funny” at all.
Reid should have been taken before smillie , clearly , he dominated the champs and stepped up to afl like he was shelling peas . We got too clever there
Shanahan should have been a lock
Anyways we got ourselves a promising haul just get it right this year
