Big tackles, left foot snap goal, smashes two packs as a lead up option and has what another 6-7 chf like leads for hit ups from his backs and mids? Mids don't play forward like that, they’re usually more Degoey/stringer power or Daicos/ashcroft/Rankine smarts and crumbing, but he can play in the Degoey way too at ground level.

He’s so versatile and is one of the youngest in the class. It continues to be a no brainer pick 3 for me.

There's nothing outstanding about him plus he's playing against an average crop.

You've got no idea rubadub. Every chance to get Patterson if Gold Coast don't have high picks left after trades.
We could split pick 4 for say pick 7 and a future 1st (eg pick 15)
Lindsay could easily slide to pick 6 to 8.

With Gawn almost cooked and the success they had with Jackson, if Demons get pick-2 I can’t see a world where they take Robey over CDT. If they did Tigers would take CDT and Sharp and be doing cartwheels.

If Duursma and Robey go 1 and 2 we should split both picks and take Cumming, Grlj, Phillipou and NHH.

If we end up with CDT it’s a huge win, as we need a new young ruck to join the rebuild and we’ve never really had one of the top tier ones (Gawn, Grundy types), although I’d probably still take peak Nank first for his ferocious tackling.

Tambling indirectly ended up being one of our most valuable picks. He lead the charge securing funding from Julia gillard for the punt road redevelopment and korin gamadji institue. This was instrumental in the clubs trajectory.

Although CDT is a similar type to Sims, he looks much more of a natural ruckman, knows how to use his body. Good basketballer so coordinated when running and jumping at the ball. 200cm is only 2-3cm short of a tall ruck, so given his athleticism that is offset somewhat. Could easily grow another cm or so, tall genes don't stop at 18 very often.

If the club and importantly ruck coaches like Maric who would have watched plenty of him reckon his trajectory as a ruckman is good, then we can't really complain. Watching his highlights again he is like a mid at ground level with great acceleration. A bit of Nank hardness rubbing off on him and he could really expose his opponent at ground level.

He and Sims in combination in a couple of years could be really exciting. No problem if we take him.
