How much better is Duursma than the pack? Watching a ESPN draft review, their analysis said they believe that if both 2024-25 drafts were combined even now, that Duursma would be his #1 pick. I have paid very little to none attention to the draft, but the player they described i thought was a excellent player for the modern game.
Is Duursma so much above the pack that if we offered 3,4 for 1 & 13, the Eagles definitely say no?
For the Eagles, they could then turn one of this picks into more multiple picks by trading to the bombers. They could essentially end up turning pick 1 & 13 into 3.5, 21 & a future 2nd - if not more.
I think the club needs to be getting as many players that are as guaranteed to be "Cotchin, Riewoldt, Dusty" quality - and not so much worrying about getting 2 Vlaustins. Going for players like Vlaustin can sometimes get you Vloss, or sometimes Brandon Ellis ro Reece Conca. What we desperately need is our clear "Cotch, Dusty, Jack" moving forward to start to give the team a \strong direction forward

We get Cummings picks 3, CDT went at 2 to Eagles, Duursma gone, we trade 4 to Essendon to get 6 and another pick so we get Taylor and other picks later
presumably Essendon pick Essendon followers Sharp and Robey with 4 and 5. bigger bodies help their shorter fleet of mids

I thought this last week before the draft was going to be boring as all hell but in the past few days we have heard:
Everyone convinced including myself we are getting Grlj and Taylor but we are going to get Robey & Cumming and throw everyone's mock drafts out the window.

we dropped from pick 8 to 13 (7 picks ) & end up with Jack)

There is a difference between ESPN draft nuffies and our actual full time recruiters who's job it is to track these kids years before they are due to be drafted.

Yeah loads of people love him just not the ones at the club he worked for
That was at the national combine , He tested during pre season and recorded 6.21 2klm and 2.93 20mtr
If we draft him im sure we can knock off another 22 seconds off the 2klm and make it 5.59 and 20mtr down to 2.89

haha I still want Sharp and Robey but I can see the attraction to Cumming and would not be sad about it.
