Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
because a future first round pick in a strong draft 2026 helps us get pick 7 and 11 in this draft, assuming you narrative is not bsGo lie down magic, take one of your little green pills and sleep. Your imagination is running wild. Why would Richmond give up a future round 1 pick in a strong draft for these 2 picks in a shit draft? You are deluded. Are you hearing voices again?
We did draft a person who could not read or write.I think we take Grlj. He is a unicorn. Can’t think of any other player (current or past) with no vowel in their surname

Who was that?We did draft a person who could not read or write.

JONWho was that?
Richmond will end no better than bottom 3/4 in 2026. Our recruiting staff and that of other clubs have declared that next years draft is way better than this year. However the expert that is you wants to trade out of 2026. Well we better get you the job of recruitment mgr at Richmond.because a future first round pick in a strong draft 2026 helps us get pick 7 and 11 in this draft, assuming you narrative is not bs
if your narrative is bs, then RFC makes out like bandits, possibly
the other thing is we do not know what our future first number in 2026 will be, nor the quality of the draft, bit of speculation there and you have your assumptions
whatever we do we should be focused on teams trying to win premierships in the years ahead. how do we know the one pick in 2026 is absolutely critical???
more likely 3 and 4 this year is more critical. we have a better idea who is available at certain picks this year so getting that right is arguably more critical
some go on about Dougie in next years draft but he is aligned to Port for example so irrelevant for us and how many in 2026 suit the types we need?? Walker is tied to CFC, no chocolates there either
have to factor in FA's and trades in the years ahead to
All the pro-Robey posters here if Richmond takes CDT at pick 3 and all the talk is we may take Grlj at pick 4.....

we are not here to collect academy picks or father sons for the hell of it.We do know:
that Pick 7 and 11 will probably end up being Pick 12 and 17 after academy and FS bids.
that we have Tanner Armstrong (academy) and Daffey (FS) amongst others that we will need points to match bids in 2026.
that trading out any of our picks in 2026 ( the last draft before Tasmania enters) is a poor strategy.
we want more picks in 2026 not less.
Literally.This is a joke right?
There is no world in which Essendon do this.
Seriously deluded stuff.
Maurice Rioli was 176cm and a Norm Smith winner .... sorry for putting facts in your story.we are not here to collect academy picks or father sons for the hell of it.
it is a nice thing but the first thing is to try and win premierships.
in 2025 picks 3 and 4 include Larke Medalists and other competitive players all australians for the champs etc...
how many Norm Smiths are 176cm??? Armstrong may be a good afl player, it is against the odds he will be a superstar but you never know.
Daffy never won a premiership with us, his son may not necessarily be good enough or command a high pick anyway
not every father son gets picked up by clubs nor do academies, they have to warrant the need to be picked to help us win premierships. Just because they are candidates does not mean they necessarily will get picked.
If Dusty had a son, well the salivating could be warranted but we shall see
for us we have had Richo and the Bowdens but we had a few others where it did not quite work out. This includes sons of premiership players for us and guns, Richo was an athletic freak who picked himself and Joel I think was fairly well credentialed in his youth. We did not even select Patrick in the draft, he went to the Bulldogs first.
I assume academies and fahersons are two way support mechanisms the kids get support to but there are no guarantees I would have thought, the youngsters have to earn their success on the footy field. I do not think we have a Sam Darcy coming through right at the moment or Nick Daicos do we???
Will Ashcrofts father was a pretty good player, 300 plus games, three premierships in a super side, and Will is a hell of a kick amongst other attributes and highly rated in his youth
Go to his house and kick his computerMaurice Rioli was 176cm and a Norm Smith winner .... sorry for putting facts in your story.
Tanner Armstrong was Under 16 National Carnival Vic Country coaches MVP plus All Australian honors in 2024... sorry more facts
He also collected 25 disposals and 7 clearances in the Futures game on Grand Final day this year.
Definitely no guarantee any player we would take with the picks 7 (12) and 11 (17), you want to trade for, will be better than Tanner let alone better than the player available with the Top 5 pick in next year's draft that you want to trade away
Now I am going to put you on ignore before you respond saying that our F1 next year won't be in the Top5. That is what North thought when they traded us Pick 3 (4).
Can someone let me know how I put Mr Magic on Ignore?
32 senior list signed includes Seth uppgradeHow many spots do we actually have for new players? How many on rookie list?

we aren't winning a premiership without rebuilding the list first. You need quality players to do that and you need high draft picks in good drafts to do that. Trading a likely top 5 pick out of a stronger draft into 2 x picks that will end up 10+ is not the way to do it. I'd trade pick 4 for those 2 but not a F1we are not here to collect academy picks or father sons for the hell of it.

Maybe it should be Cumming and Grjl and we could trade a pick to Essendon to draft Robey .... but you want to believe Robey will be a star![]()
Sam Cumming Draft Profile
North Adelaide prospect Sam Cumming is a powerful and competitive midfielder-forward with strong work rate.central.rookieme.com
I can’t decide if we take Cumming or Grlj to go with Robey.
Grlj offers genuine elite pace and natural line breaking ability. Cumming a more natural mid and forward with high level pace.
