Sully Robey apparently measured in at 193cm at combine which isn’t surprising as it was rumoured he grew 6cm after getting cut by Stingrays.

193cm makes him a genuine forward/mid considering his strong marking and beautiful set shot kicking. Having Robey as a rotation with Sam Lalor would be an ultra dangerous pair.

There’s not many teams that have or play two players in that dangerous mid/forward role (maybe Brisbane with Bailey and Rayner)

Part of me wonders if you can in the modern game or it unbalances the team too much

With the likely hood of pick 38 coming into roughly around pick 30-33. This could give us a bit of leverage to package this pick up with pick 4 and move it up into the 20’s which will give us a better look at a few very handy talents, while also giving us the player we rated at pick 4 anyway.

For me i think it was late may early june i seen some footage of Lalor and thought wow thats the player i want most at Richmond and from memory i think he was rated around 9-11 i think

I dont see it at, not alot of weaving through traffic like Cotch could do.

Only similarity for me is maybe attack on the man.

I agree Mate, his highlights didn’t inspire me, same with Robey to be honest. But I’m not a recruiter. Robey hits the scoreboard though so that attracts me to taking him. Sharp the most sure bet imo

I am sure when they got Retschko they rated him higher than 99.

that is the point I cannot see how Grij is value at a higher pick, a lower pick maybe

I cannot speak for others obviously but if I have to pick between Sharp and what he has done and Grij, it is Sharp every time, otherwise throw champs form out the window as well as other deeds

It is not like Grij is a great kick or great mark either. there are plenty of athletes that never fired a shot like David Gourdis


See NHH is another I would pick ahead of Grj on output everyday of the week

At least with Josh Lindsay they say his elite trait is kicking, what is Grj elite footy trait?? He might make it, might improve, who knows, good luck to him, but I cannot understand any justification for a very high pick

Are you basing your assessment of NHH (who I know quite well) on his ceiling or his season averages?
