Make it Dees F1 not suns, and its a deal.

edit. 2027 F1? Nah. 2026 or heck orf..
Preach sister, 2026 is our final big draft year.

'24, '25, '26 - Draft hard, develop a group of talented youth which will be the backbone the club for a decade +

'27 onward - Talented trades to fill the gaps (with smart salary management) ...

'29 - flagmond

I cum in peas.

Interesting to see the love for Robey & Grlj, can tigers fans see the club taking Sharp at either 3/4? What's the feeling on the direction the club wants to go with a strong hand of picks 3 & 4?

Dees supporter on X mentioning they had heard Dee’s considering offering 7 and a 2027 future 1st for our pick 4.

In their quest for Robey.
I think it shite. I’d Take it and take Robey at 3.

Where do we sign?

Melbourne picked up Steele, Miochek and Jiath ... they could be better next year than this year, so no guarantee that their F1 will be Top10
3 ordinary players.

Oliver > Steele (and thats saying something).
McVee > Jiath
Mihocek is almost 33 and is going to have a horrendous midfield kicking it to him and no tall support.
No Petracca
May is cooked and Lever is shit without him.
Gawn is nearly 34.
New coach amd gameplan.

The core midfield is going to be Rivers, Langford, Langdon, Viney, Steele and Kozi. Woeful.

They are a lock for bottom 6. If we can manage to get their 2026 1st id be ecstatic.

Richmond needs speed across the midfield, why would Richmond draft Sharp when they have Taranto & Hopper.

it surprises me Taranto and Hopper are even factored into the equation.

Especially Hopper who is not really a extractor anyway

If anything Sharp helps Taranto by providing another extraction point opposition have to worry about giving Taranto more opportunity be freed up. It is not like Taranto would not accept ball from Sharp, lol

Nope. We finished 17th and fleeced north… taking 2 & 3 (3&4 due to corrupt handout) to the draft is a rare opportunity we should not squander
Can't be serious.

We are doing that trade as it's an absolute no brainer.

Sliding down slightly in one of the weakest drafts ever to acquire an additional pick in a far better draft.

That F1st selection whoever in the top 6 of next year's draft will go ahead of everyone available to us at pick 3.

Essendon will never trade that pick anyway. So it doesn't even warrant a discussion - that pick could even be pick 1.

I think they might be attempted this to sucker us in and then use pick 4 and 8 for pick 2 to get CDT
So u r saying Dees will give 7, 8 and a 2027 future pick 1 for pick 2? I don't think they'd do that. Too much.

Surely we aren't drafting around Taranto and Hopper, Id be building the list to peak 2031-2037. I don't see us taking Sharp anyway though.

Absolutely I can see us taking Sharp but he’d need to be paired with someone that compliments him ion the outside. We were ranked 18 for clearance last season. Sharp makes sense but we can’t have Taranto or Hopper being the distributors i50.
I think we take the three SA boys and bring them over together.
Sharp/Cumming/Kellaway

But then again it’s Blair and co and they like to spring a surprise…so who really knows!

The 18th in clearances is a joke. That’s why we recruited Taranto & Hopper. To have two “bulls” who can win the footy at the coalface. We talk about their experience and shielding the young players, but you’ve still got to win your position. I went to the game in Hobart, and remember this passage late in the third where LDU was charging out of the centre and Nank was the only player in the midfield trying to exert some pressure. Maybe that stat puts Sharp front and centre at pick 3 or 4, given that our game plan has evolved since Dimma had the keys.

The full season highlights series is back for another year, and who better to kick things off with than the guy who has emerged as the clear number 1 pick in most people’s estimation, Willem Duursma!

Will the thrill is a rangy and athletic young man with the ability and confidence to impose himself on games and inspire his team with game breaking moments of play. His rapid improvement this year as a midfielder cemented his pick 1 candidacy, and he’s also shown he’s fully capable of impacting in the forward line and defence.

Just watching this, he reminds me a bit of Brendon Goddard. Very versatile, gets into the right spots, good kick. But hes still a duursma
