Speed for mids is fine but not a must have specially when we are talking about a 10th of a second
speed of mind and hands are what is needed and already proven with the best mids
Bont , Green , Neal , Brayshaw , Cripps all still dominating their positions and for years now even m ost recently players like Langford.

jagga & Smillie were 3.09 just 7 100th off a player like Fred
Every year you only have about 10-12 players that would be under 3.0 and most dont make it.
its not the be all and end all for predominantly inside mids

I assume Richmond would bid on Dean before Taylor, if Dean is the best defender in the draft it would be irrational not to bid.

If Richmond is looking at taking a defender then bidding on the best KPD that is 9 months younger and 2cm taller makes sense

FMD he was expected to go in first 7 as part of the top group. And he went there because he dominated champs.

Fred had a poor champs and looked like he was running in sand at u/18 level.
