I’m a massive Sam Cumming fan, but not sure I’d label him a pure mid. I reckon he’s more a hybrid that’ll rotate fwd/mid.
I think this is a positive, you could end up with a player with Heeneys hurt factor.

I have no intell i was just making the point that giesch might select him as Head of our recruiting team. I dont watch enough of these kids more than a 3 min you tube clip to have any knowledge in who we should go with. I just put my faith in Ryh, Blair, Frank and the rest of the recruiting team to pick the right players.

A brilliant round 1 game demonstrated CDT's elite talent, and he's essentially remained the standout tall in the draft pool since that point. His movement for a 200cm kid is absolutely elite, the eye test backed up by top 10 finishes in the 2km time trial and 20m sprint at the combine, and his coordinated skills and level of competitiveness complete an undeniably attractive package. CDT is likely to be a slower burn for whichever team picks him on draft night, but he has all the tools to pay off that patience in spades in the coming years.

He definitely has some. Just not from us, they just based on what managers and other clubs who leak think we might do. I’d say they’re reasonable educated guesses because clubs know how many meetings you have with players, if you want medical things assessed and just what they hear from managers and families. They all knew by this point last year we were taking Lalor with FOS at 2.

But we also supposedly threw out Bo Allan last year as a smokescreen.



I’m happy enough with Faull and Armstrong. The mistake in my book (in hindsight) was Sims over Dodson.

Sims was good. Dodson has done nothing. Way toooooo early to tell for big guys.

Don't think we should be taking Xavier Taylor, yes talented but we had Luke Trainor playing on the wing this year because our back line was pretty set, let alone bringing in another similar player. Trainor and Brown are our interceptors for the next 10 years to replace Vlaustin and Broad eventually. Robey and Grij for me, both address needs and have a high ceiling.

I'm also not sure there's a single "elite mid" in the whole draft pool. Certainly not a complete package. But maybe Karp3_dm can tell us who he's referring to. IMO there's a bunch of guys with appealing attributes, but they come with key questions marks, every single one of them. More so than most years, it seems.
